The Blood Demon Wolf

The loud blaring noise of the fire truck woke Iris up. These wolves have no respect for the sleeping residents. Tucking a robe around herself, she went out to check the commotion. She gasped at the large fire burning at a distance. The surrounding houses too were caught in a fire, but these buildings were located near the orphanage. Iris ran in the direction of the orphanage, a glimmer of hope that whatever she was thinking of isn’t true. Her heart shattered staring at the burnt building while some firemen tending on the small fires. People gathered around the orphanage, and Iris pushed every one of them. Her boss, Edin, caught Iris before she could enter the place. Crying out loud and finally broke free from his grasp, entering the area, and the foul smell of sulfur caught her nose mixed with a metallic odor.   His dark, piercing gaze roamed all over me, and I suddenly felt conscious to hide somewhere. He wore a black two-piece suit, and it fitted well with his built physique. Taking long, slow strides he walked toward my direction. Iris squirmed under his eyes and avoided them. Bringing his fingers to grasp her chin, and forced her to face him. He studied her face and lowered down to her lush lips. Pulling herself out of the reverie she slapped his hand away and glared at him. How dare he touch her like she’s a piece of jewelry? “What’s your name human?” He asked. “Iris.” “A beautiful name it fits perfectly with mine.   Iris felt a lot better after a day of rest. Her new 'friend', Marissa, has been following her around all day. Even Alpha Eris was annoyed and kicked her out of his office. The big bad wolf was really attentive to Iris today, and constantly checked on her condition. Here she was thinking he's a heartless, arrogant man but there was a slightest hint of care towards her. The thought made her stomach flutter.  "Do you have fever?" Eris asked her out of the blue. "Your face is flushed." He continued seeing her confused emotion. This girl has been day dreaming in the middle of her work and what could that be inside her mind? Checking the time it was already lunch. Time passed by so fast.  Mind-linking his Beta he reserved a seat at one of the most luxurious and high-quality restaurants in DarkMoon. 'What's the occassion, Alpha?" Beta Jayden asked curiously. His Alpha last dined in that restaurant five years ago. What made him come back? 

  The continuous throb of body pain woke Iris up. This time the bruises were visible thankfully there was no sticky feeling on her skin. She groaned these injuries were preventing her from moving a lot. She sat up attempting to grab the glass pitcher filled with water unaware of a man's presence sitting at the corner of the room. "Should I lick your bruises to make the pain go away?" A deep voice echoed throughout the room. Iris flinched from surprise and accidentally spilled the water on to her white shirt. Damn it! She glared at Eris who stood there with no remorse or anything to feel worried towards her. Damn, he's being a creepy man. How long was he staying in this room? "No thank you, have you been watching me sleeping all this time? What are you a creep?" He pulled out another shirt from the closet and threw it to her.   Iris was making breakfast early in the morning. Her mind was occupied and thoughts filled with the kiss she shared with Eris. She blushed and accidentally spilled the hot water on her hand. Cursing loudly and immediately cooled her burnt hand with water. Eris arrived still a bit sleepy but it disappeared as soon as he heard a voice masked with pain.  "What happened? You're so clumsy be careful next time, Iris." Taking her hand his warm mouth covered over the burn area. The magical healing powers of werewolf saliva eased down the throbbing pain.  "W-What are you doing? I didn't ask you to heal my burn." She was mortified by his actions. Eris tightened his hold on her wrist and she couldn't pull it away. The sensation giving weird signals to her body, he's enjoying this. The servants and commanders walked in on them. Iris immediately pulled her hand away there was an awkward atmosphere in the kitchen.  Eris cleared his throat catch
