Chapter thirty nine/ three days until the eclipse Darling Kate’s POV The heavy silk curtains of the nursery were drawn tight, but I could still feel the oppressive weight of the sky outside. There were only three days left until the solar eclipse, and the atmospheric tension was driving the wolves upstairs entirely insane.

I'll keep my hopes high. Without any hesitation, I entered the attic. Darkness greeted me as I helped myself up. When my feet finally touched the floor, my steps gotten heavier. I can't even move from where I am standing, so I roamed my eyes around instead, but failed to see anything. Despite of the murky view, I managed to sense the covered window from my front.
