1984 Novel Pages Novels & Stories

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3 hours late I stretch my arms over my head and groan. I started with English. I didn't realize how behind I am with my reading. I almost panicked when I saw this year's novel. It's 1984 by George Orwell, who thought this would be a good idea. On a normal day I would have enjoyed it but right now I'm on a deadline to complete three assignments based on the book.

The last thing I want is for Samantha to walk in on me sneaking through her stuff; she already has trust issues as it is. My eyes catch on a notebook; it looks like a diary. It has the inscription, Dark stories by twisted minds, do not open. I pick the book up, my curiosity instantly piqued. I rise from my squatting position to sit on the edge of the bed. I flip through the pages to see how many there are, and it's well gone, over 500 pages. I should drop the book out of the room the same way I worked out, but I can't.

"I still have the guards phone, let's snap the pages and keep back the book. My sister's life can never be in the line of this shit." "Are you joking? Do you know how many pages this book's got? That phone's memory is just the first twenty pages of this book. Just twenty pages. This book is a kind of historical analysis, that was written down, so many years ago, you can tell from the way the book looks. C'mon Hel, think, you can do better." --- Elsewhere… Nelly Couldn’t Finish the First Page Nelly sat in her room, sadness weighing heavily on her face. She felt as if Naomi had taken Adel from her completely. Her thoughts wouldn’t slow down. She began flipping through every page, desperate for sense. Then she noticed something strange, tiny marks in the corners of some pages. Dots. Circles. A pattern. She counted them, one, two, three, four… eight. The eighth marked page was the last one. She turned it slowly. It was blank. Or so it seemed. When she tilted the notebook toward the light, faint pencil impressions appeared, shadows of words written on a missing page that had been torn out.

After a few minutes of searching, she finally found it and dragged it out from in between the other files and a red book fell on the floor from them. She set the blue file on the table, her eyes tracking back to the red book to return it to its original place in the drawer but a word on it caught her attention. “2024?” She muttered. Swiftly she flipped the pages of the book, her brows furrowing at the blank pages that stared back at her. Letting out a sigh, she intended to close the book when she flipped open the last page and the writings on it caused her feet to step backward, shock enveloping her every being.

This was my best chance to do so. I kept turning the pages, trying to find the most important part of their story. I'd read about the small cuts and cake dust. I wanted to know what exactly caused it and the true story behind it. It seemed manipulated. Then I found one of the pages whose texts were printed in red. I sat down and read the first page, shaking my head in pity. Turning to the second page of the red text print, the door creaked open, and I let out a loud gasp as I quickly placed the book under the pillow, my face filled with fear.
