2 Hour Cocktail Party Novels & Stories

I pull her closer. The pastries arrive at nine. We stay until one. Seven minutes home. And then several more hours of exactly what fourteen months of patience had been building toward, unhurried and completely certain and better than any dinner party either of us had ever attended. Which is saying something... Because the dinner party was extraordinary. End of Arc 22: Open House

I nodded obediently, ignoring the alcohol he handed me. "I gave Martina the instruction to invite them tonight. You're welcome to enjoy yourself and your little dinner party there's just a few rules you need to follow. Your little dinner party will not go on longer than four hours and within the four hours, an eight course meal will be served and I want you to find out as much information as possible about their husbands. Understood?" I nodded, "I'm going to need you to use your words, Celeste. A "yes sir" and "no sir" will do just perfectly."

The bartender teased. “The usual.” I ignored his humor. Elle began her speech, never ending, slowly sipping on her martini, making sure she doesn’t drink everything all at once because I only promised her one drink. After one hour of her long talk, five glass of my scotch and one glass of her martini, we finally rounded it up. I didn’t hear shit. I just knew I wanted to get back to the office and check on Maria. “Shall we?” “Oh, can you drop me at the boutique? I need to shop for the event, it’s in two nights.” She giggled.

A man said as he basically grabbed Lucas’s arm and tried to shake it off. “I am happy to make your acquaintance.” Lucas murmured lowly. I looked away from them and looked around at all of the people. We had spent two hours driving to this party that looked boring. The decorations were beautiful but other than that all it seemed like we could do here was talk and drink. There was a huge wooded platform that stretched far out but there was really no room to dance or play game. It had wooden tables set out perfectly and bright lights that shined the whole platform. It looked more like a fancy restaurant than anything.

I haven't talked to him since. Ma and Pa were sitting in the living room when it was time to leave for the party. "So who is hosting the house party this time?" "Cassandra." "You know the rules." "Yes, Pa. No alcohol, no drugs, and home by 1 AM." "12 AM!" "That was last year! Come on! 1 AM is not a big deal." "As long as you follow the rest of the rules, then fine." "Let the girl live, honey. She will only be a teenager once."

he smiled knowingly as an elderly woman walked up to them. "Having a party?" She asked cheerfully. "Yes, ma'am," Richard replied as he returned the smile. The elderly woman seemed to be charmed by his warm smile and chanted happily, "I'm too. My hubby's birthday is tomorrow. I'm planning a surprise party for him. Do you think American Honey liquor and campari will go well with the event?" She asked. "Yes. Skyy vodka, Glenfiddich and cranberry juice will also help put smiles in the faces of your guests too," Richard offered as the elderly woman quickly put all of them into her trolley and collected extra 6 bottles of Hennessy drink from the shelf.

Forty. Few Hours Later. It was 7:00 pm and the so-called adult party had started, the kids left with their parents at 6:00 pm, so it took the decorators an hour to change the hall setting. I must say the party was damn awesome, there were male and female artistes and also actors and actresses, not newbies, I’m talking about popular celebrities. Looks like Mr. Xavier knows everybody because politicians, business owners and even some presidents of other countries came just to acknowledge Chelsea’s birthday. I’m so certain that by now my mouth will be filled with flies because I was gobsmacked. Who will ever think that I will be able to see these celebrities in reality. I saw Mr Xavier speaking

Sometimes I can’t help but wonder how he’s still friends with Drew who seems to have become the direct opposite of him. I found an empty spot by the window and took a seat, from where I sat, I could see how beautifully decorated the dining area was, there were fancy lights and flowers tied around the table and several mouthwatering dishes on the table. I grabbed a glass and poured myself some vodka mixing it with water to quench its burning taste. The living room was getting filled up already, I checked the time and it was 8pm on the dot. The lights went dim and it was announced that the party has just began.

Gabriella said expressionlessly. "I won't go." Henry did not allow her to refuse. "I'll pick you up tomorrow afternoon." He turned to leave. Before he left he reminded Felise, "Lise, remember to listen to your Aunt Gabriella, okay?" Felise nodded. She watched Henry leave with the door closed behind him. She looked up and asked curiously, "Aunt Gabriella, what's a cocktail party?" Gabriella explained simply, "It's when a lot of people gather and drink alcohol."

I spend a boring afternoon watching as the Alphas arrive and then move to the backyard to enjoy time by the pool. Finally, Clint comes back to the room, just as I get out of the shower. The official cocktail party starts at 6pm, with a sit-down dinner at 7pm.
