I mentally facepalmed myself. Anika and I didn’t raise our hands up because it was stupid, hence we were not adding to the vote, but even with our hands down, Clord, Feryt, and Gordius had already won the poll. They were the majority. 3 Vs 2. I looked at Feryt now and she shrugged, communicating to me that she wanted this argument to end as much as I did— and this was the only way. I looked away from her in my annoyance.

“Berry, nude or matte blue?” Audrey squinted closer to her computer screen where Jessica was holding three nail polishes and Kathie was shifting in her enormous couch. “Nude.” Since two out of three has had hassles going to places, they resorted to video calls. “Yeah, nude.” Kathie nods, pausing to fluff a throw pillow. “Boring. I think I’ll choose matte blue.” She glances briefly at them, then snort laughed.
