They probably thought a slap from Aaron was already good enough for now. I can see blood coming from his mouth. He looks at me with a glare on his face. I then give him the finger and thankfully he doesn’t have a nerve to talk about some sh*t anymore. Lunch has been to serve one hour after we are on the air, and Ash came to us, giving the position of the small town where my cousin. Arethusa home is resided. “It is like a five or six-hour journey from the airport. I’ve already sent the location on the main server gps.” Said Ash to Aaron.

He gave in and I started dragging him away to the car I had parked not far from the gas station. "How... how much longer do I have left?" "Seven hours..." I said, knowing that getting to Lycan territory would take five. "You have seven hours left.”

"A safe house I set up years ago that Father doesn't know about. It's remote, secure, and stocked with supplies. We can stay there while we figure out what to do next." "Okay," I agreed. "How far is it?" "Six-hour drive, maybe seven." He checked his phone. "We should leave within the hour." We packed quickly, and I tried not to think about how everything I owned now fit into a single duffel bag. Dimitri checked us out while I waited by the motorcycle, and then we were on the road again. The hours passed in a blur of changing landscapes—city giving way to suburbs, suburbs to rural farmland, farmland to dense forest.

"Tonight? But it's a long drive" "I don't care. I want to see you." "Morgan, you must be exhausted" "I'm coming back," I said firmly. "I'll text you when I get close." "Okay," she whispered. "Thank you." After we hung up, Tim looked at me. "You're leaving?" "Yeah. Tonight." "It's a six-hour drive, Morgan. And you've barely slept in three days." "I know." Tim shook his head but smiled. "You've got it bad."

“No.” His voice cut sharply through the room. “We wasted enough time already.” He looked to Elliot. “How long?” He asked. Elliot stared at the screen. “The old facility is about twelve minutes away.” Silence followed. Then Adrian’s eyes narrowed. “Twelve?” Nobody needed to say it. They all understood. They only had two minutes left. Impossible. Amara suddenly looked up. “No.” Everyone turned to her. Her heart was beating hard. Very hard. Because another memory had returned.

"That takes time." "How much time." "More than two days." She exhaled. "That's not reassuring." "It's honest." She looked at me for a moment. Then she crossed to the table where I was sitting and stopped directly in front of me. I looked up at her. She leaned down and kissed me once. Brief, certain, the same way she made every decision. "Six hours," she said. "Then we're back at this." "Six hours," I agreed. She went.

Nana groaned, dropping my dish on the table. "I think the right question would be, when will this Mishap day curse thing be over." I was getting tired already. We had gotten to another stage. The stage where we could last only 6 hours apart staying normal. Mind you, this 6 hours was not static. No specific time - it could be morning hours or night hours. Most times, it was in the morning. As long as we were apart. So if we stayed away for a whole day, only 6 hours that day would be given to us to stay normal and the rest.... You know.
