A Castle For Christmas 2 Novels & Stories

The Winter Fairy *** Elena reaches back to the castle. She sees Elevina watering the garden but doesn't say anything. She carefully passes her and enters her room locking the door behind her. She brings out the letters and a marble and tries to absorb their energy sources. With a bit of magic she merges them together forming a golden pixie dust which she poured in a tiny bottle strapping it round her neck. She hurries back to Vinix cottage but sees Elevina in her path.

He'd been meticulous, checking every tag. "You didn't peek, did you?" I asked, settling onto the couch. "No! Santa said peeking means no presents next year!" "Smart man, that Santa," Braham murmured, sitting beside me. The next hour was chaos in the best way. Leo tore through his presents with the enthusiasm of a small tornado—dragon toys, art supplies, books, the elaborate castle set Braham had spent three hours assembling on Christmas Eve while Leo slept. "This is the BEST Christmas EVER!" Leo announced, already building his castle.

The castle’s exterior wall seemed to have the same strange decorations. Trails lined with truffle rocks or gingerbread dust coating the walls of the castle. There was even a faint but sweet scent of jam and cream on some of the trees. Dylan felt a shiver up his spine and knew something was wrong. Fred continued smiling and leading the way but Dylan had to stop. “Is there something wrong Dylan?” Fred asked, smiling. “Why are the decorations in this forest and outside the castle so much different from the resort?” Dylan asked hesitantly.

65 In the midst of the soft whispers of falling snowflakes, I cautiously made my way beyond the grand doors of the snowy castle manor. The air was sharp and cold, and the floors beneath my boots were uniformly blanketed with snow. The entire world around me had transformed into a winter wonderland—so, this is the North. The castle's majestic turrets stood tall, resembling silent sentinels against the canvas of the pristine, snow-covered landscape.

“There’s no need, Ms. Monroe. The only floors Herr Van Straus needs decorated are the main floor and the sunroom. Everywhere else will be off-limits to guests.” I work my jaw. If Cassandra won’t willingly take me there, I’m going to have to find a way to sneak off myself. “Now,” she says, clapping her hands as she takes me further still into the castle. “I know in Mrs. Stern’s email she recommended not getting a live tree, but Herr Van Straus is rather insistent. I know it’s a fire hazard to have it so close to the fireplace, but it’s the one thing he won’t budge on.”

"Well, I'm glad you didn't. Come on, let me help with your bags. You're going to love this place. Dad really outdid himself with the Christmas decorations this year." We grabbed my luggage and headed inside. The moment I stepped through the door, warmth enveloped me. Not just from the heating, but from the house itself. Wood beams stretched across high ceilings. A massive stone fireplace dominated one wall, already crackling with a fire. Garland wrapped around the staircase railing, twinkling with little white lights. "This is incredible," I said, and meant it. "Right? Dad designed it himself. Took like three years to build. Come on, I'll give you the tour."

*** Still in the Astral plane *** Xander and his dad arrive at the edge of the cliff and stare at a splendid castle seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Xander is quite shocked at the sight of such a grand edifice in such an unlikely place. It has a medieval look to it, almost gothic actually. It is surrounded by a huge fence with lots of evenly spaced undead archers on top of the wall. Around the castle is a large moat teeming with large crocodiles. Where exactly is this?

I met Devin at the castle's main entrance, marveling at how the young wolf seemed impervious to the cold in her light jacket. "Ready for the grand tour?" Devin asked, bouncing on her toes. I nodded, pulling my borrowed down coat and woolen scarf tighter around me. "Lead the way." We set off, Devin's steady stream of commentary painting a vivid picture of life in Winterspire. As we walked, I couldn't help but be awed by the castle's architecture. Soaring towers of pale gray stone stretched toward the sky, their surfaces etched with intricate patterns of frost. Massive windows of what appeared to be ice rather than glass caught the sunlight, sending rainbows dancing across the snow.

Callista. The castle is humongous. We are parked in the inner courtyard, which is actually very lovely with a nice garden. There is a massive defensive talus surrounding the inner residence building, with a moat surrounding the whole area. The large gate is automated. There are four fortified towers at the four corners of the square talus, armed with, if my sight is reliable, machine guns. I am stunned at this; I did not know that the Rexellen pack actually had any need for machine guns of all things. But then again, what do I know of the Royals. The castle is very medieval, unlike any other old castle that is in the USA, which I find is rather peculiar. Had I not been worrying about my own

Cassandra and Allana will pay for taking my childhood away from me, and they will never get the chance to get their filthy hands on my child. Xavier's castle looms in the distance; the grey stones blend into the stormy grey clouds in the sky behind it. Dark green moss grows along the walls surrounding the castle grounds; I can make out the guards standing on top of the walls, peering down at us. Each corner of the wall meets a tower; slits in the walls look like windows; this place looks cold and unfeeling, and it feels like it. As we walk closer to the castle, Xavier raises an arm in the air; chains rattle as the gates open, and he motions for us to follow him inside. Skyla hooks her arm th
