“She was able to stay submerged under water for longer than an hour, but she is refusing to tell me how.”
The princess watched as her uncle’s head snapped towards her, her nervousness increasing. He leaned back in his seat, his mechanical white eyes suddenly filled with curiosity. “An hour, huh?”
The dark lord’s comrade nodded, “Yes, sir. I had to pull her from the water. But, she will not tell me anything.”
Darkous raised his eyebrow, turning his attention towards Elika. “Well kid, what happened?”
The princess took a shaky breath, lowering her eyes as she remained silent. Not wanting to answer her uncle as he glared down at her, her small frame trembling.
