A little web of black veins. The start of the poison.

It took me three hours to get to Olive's house and the door opened as soon as I got there and I rushed inside and they took me to Jackson. He was in the spare bedroom, practically unconscious but moving around a lot and sweating profusely. So I leaned down next to the bed and I felt his head, he was burning up. I ripped his shirt open to see if I could see any wounds on him but there weren't any. Not on his chest so I rolled him over and there were a couple of really small pin-like pricks on his back. I leaned forward and smelt them. "What is it?" Olive asked. Her mate was standing right beside her.

His face blurs as a needle pinches my arm, and I return to the present. _____________________

It was like the look a lion would give his prey. “Mm-hmm?” I held the pin between my fingers carefully and then got close to his neck, placing a gentle kiss there. Then right there, I used the pin, poking it in his neck. “Ow, what was that?” He asked in a soft voice, still carried away by his pleasure. “Nothing, baby. Just a little nibble, don’t you like that?” I sat back up, continuing my grinding motion, waiting for the venom to kick in.

“Even Charlie approves.” Elara kept her eyes lowered while holding the fabric carefully. Then suddenly— She felt a pain stung sharply against her fingertip. She inhaled softly due to the pain. One of the pins had slipped directly into her skin, piercing her skin and blood oozing out of it. A tiny drop of blood appeared quickly. It was a small cut. Barely noticeable. And with everyone focused on Lily— nobody saw it. Nobody saw her getting hurt. Except Charlie. His eyes shifted instantly toward her hand.

Opens it again. Nothing comes out. Instead, he mutters under his breath, something that sounds suspiciously like a creative insult directed at my entire existence. “Oh, say it louder,” I grin. “Let the audience hear.” His nostrils flare. He looks like he’s about to combust, then suddenly he leaps at me and— Pinch. “Ow!” I yelp, staring at my arm. “Did you just pinch me?!” “Yes.” I pinch him back. Harder. “Ow! Did you just—” he pinches me again.

Ping added quietly, “…there’s no going back.”

It read 'Little Pricked Gang. "Little Pricked? That doesn't sound that embarrassing." Wilson muttered to himself. "At most, it just has a funny story behind it." Charlie heard Wilson muttering to himself. He chuckled and whispered into Wilson's ears, "Shout 'I am little pricked'!" Wilson in response, spread out his arms and yelled out. "I am little pricked!" Then he understood.

And it's definitely not through begging. God, what kind of hell on earth have I gotten myself into? I sighed and turned away. As I walked back to the bed, I stepped on something sharp. "Ouch!" I cried, staring down to see what it was. On the floor laid a pin I didn't seem to have seen earlier. I winced at the pain, settling back on the edge of the bed while my finger hoovered the edges of the wound. Thankfully, there wasn't much blood, save only that the pain stung like hell.
