“All right, sir.” I hung up the phone, and my phone buzzed. I went down to my office and checked the footage he sent on my laptop. I watched closely. A white man, the same height as how Robyn had described him. With the CCTV angle, I couldn’t even see half of his face, only the skin of his arm as he pulled the mask up and rolled it like a beanie. His hair was dark, reaching the collar of his leather jacket. He might be a professional. He knew how to dodge cameras. His intention was not to kill Robyn, but to send a message.

“But I know you’re not the monster they make you out to be.” I turned to face him, my chest tightening. “How do you know that?” He stepped closer, his gaze locking onto mine. “Because I’ve seen monsters. Real ones. And you’re not one of them.” For a moment, I couldn’t breathe. The intensity in his eyes was overwhelming, but it wasn’t frightening. It was grounding. I nodded, unable to find the words to respond. “Come on,” he said after a moment, his tone lighter. “Let’s see if you’re any good on a horse.”

“Cold?” “Freezing,” I muttered, even though his sweaty jersey was ten times worse. He ruffled my hair—messy, playful, the way only a big brother would… but to outsiders? Yeah, it probably looked weird. Especially since we didn’t look even remotely related. Not the same hair. Not the same face. Not the same build. Nothing. “Don’t look at Xavier,” Henry said suddenly, voice dropping to a warning whisper. “He’s a monster.” I blinked. “Who?”

When he said my name, I fell to my knees, knowing that I had gone insane with hunger and blood loss. “Surely I have gone mad! I am under the illusion that a beast is speaking to me! Ah, God, please take me now; I am ready!” I cried out and fell to my knees. But it is what happened next that made me swallow my words; the beast transformed, and in its place stood a tall man with long blonde hair that was so light it nearly looked white. He was as naked as the day he was born, with a body built for war and looked powerful.

Breathing in fast paces, still staring at me, yet, like I was a foreign entity. “Bastard.” He suddenly seethed, in a doubled voice. “What? Who are you talking about?” I cried out, pouting my lips in hurt at his sudden state. “Teta…” He trailed his father’s name out fiercely, hands in defense like he was protecting himself from something. When he transformed, his beast stood up, pouncing on the floor in a heavy thud. As he did, broken shambles followed, destroying the entire piece and everything that it entailed.

With a scary look on his face, that man was gazing at Beast. Beast ordered a table and put his hand on it. In a nick of time, the colour of the light bulb turned red and Beast turned into a butcher, who was separating every single finger from his hand. The man was screaming in pain. But Beast was standing in a relaxed posture doing his work. Similarly, he also separated the fingers from his other hand. Now it was the turn of his feet.

He is here! Just as I suspected, my beast growled low and then with a snarl, lunged forward and surprised everyone when it successfully burst through the doors. The doors splintered and shattered under the force of my beast's powerful lunge, revealing the scene inside. There's a chorus of gasp around. "What the hell is that?" " What is this beast?" " It's not human but not werewolf either!" A man stood in the middle of space, his back turned but I knew who it was right away and I knew my beast knew it was Sirus.

Others were on the flood, bleeding from puncher wound to their neck, "Finally you are awake," a man stood on a podium staring down at me. But he wasn't like any man, his eyes were ruby red, and he had both features of a bat and a man, "Tell me," he spoke again, "What is a high class wolf like you doing out in the human world, living such a lie, in fact I personally think you did a great job blending in," "What— what are you talking about?" Fear captured my voice letting it shake like plants in a blizzard,

The man raised his head up and saw the beast heading towards him as he thought, "Things can't end like this, I still need to save those kids, but I don't think I can do it in this condition. I'm sorry kiddos but this is the end." As the man closed his eyes, he heard a loud noise, but he was surprised since he didn't feel anything, he then opened his eyes and saw Koda standing in front of him as the beast launched lots of punches at his shield. "I can't loose, I have to hang in there" Koda thought as the beast continued hitting his cracked shield as Laila made the man invisible and whispered, "I have a plan" The man was surprised as the girl then explained her plan to him.

"And they won't stop until the Beast is dead and the Origin is back in a cage." Suddenly, a low, melodic whistle echoed from the trees. Out of the darkness stepped a man. He was tall, dressed in fine, white linen that looked impossible in this dirt-filled world. He had silver hair and a smile that made me feel like a bird in a trap. "Well, well," the man said. "The Alpha of the North was a fool to reject such a beautiful thing. But don't worry, little girl. The **Beast of the South** has a much finer cage waiting for you."
