I focused on the screen, typing out 'cult' and mentioning Misty and Remus there. After hesitation, I typed in how it seemed like Misty was an odd choice to be in a cult. She acted pleasant as if she genuinely enjoyed having me there as a pet. Plus, if said cult was meant to be hush-hush, why would she tell me about it? Maybe she figured learning more was inevitable for me.

She shouldn't remember anything now. "Thank you for your help, Dex. Now I just need fairy dust from the queen of the fairies and then we can turn everything into the crystal we need for Ash. You don't know how much this mess to me." She smiled at me as she held the vile up at me. Inside the vile was the light blue mist that emits while we sing. It's that mist that buries itself deep into the mind. It keeps the song going even after it's done being sung. It seems the memory is staying tucked away for now.

"A worthy trade. Approach." She touches our foreheads with fingers that feel like cool water, and I feel something shift inside my mind. The memory doesn't disappear entirely—I still know it happened. But the emotional weight, the defining significance, fades like mist in sunlight. I blink, disoriented, and the Mist Queen steps back.

Gavin was watching her with his sharp eyes, observing Amara Gabriel. Her brows met as she looked at Misty. She couldn't answer her question. "My name," she uttered. "Yeah, your name." Misty said. "I-I…don't remember my name," her eyes went to Misty, confused. "Who am I? What happened to me?" All of them became silent. Misty was in awe. Her jaw almost dropped in front of the woman when she said that. Gavin's brows met while watching Amara Gabriel. "Does she lose her memories?" The old lady asked.

Ivone's eyes slowly fluttered open, the warm golden light that spilled into the room like honey through the open windows took her a while to adjust to as they danced around, casting a gentle glow on her features. She lay still, her foggy gaze drifting lazily around the slightly familiar space as she struggled to grasp the fragmented memories that lingered in her mind like wisps of smoke. Her thoughts were foggy, like they were shrouded in a blanket of thick mist, her recollection was disjointed and her memories seemed to hover just out of reach.

“My lady?” “Where have you been the whole effin night?” “My lady,” she said, her eyes kinda confuse, “this place has no day or night. But let's say I'm away the whole night, perhaps because I'm enjoying the feast?” “Feast?” She shrugged, trying hard to hide the confussion in her eyes. “Well-” “Don't you dare to hide a single information from me, Misty!” I almost couldn't stop myself from bursting out. Misty kinda shaken but only sigh after. She said, trying to remember the vague of memory, “I'm hunting-”

I whispered when I saw the date written on the picture. I sighed, I don't know what happened to our family or to me. As I get older, I feel like I'm slowly losing what I used to be, The people I love and the people I was with during the happy times when I was young are slowly disappearing. I touched my cheek when I felt a hot liquid falling from my eyes. I wiped it and returned the photo to its previous position. I don’t know what I did wrong to them, I don’t remember committing a crime to someone, especially to my family. But the way they stay away from me I felt like a serial killer that should not be approached.

My head was pounding. I couldn't forget his blue eyes. It was the first thing that flashed in my mind after waking up. I was scared before closing my eyes that I would forget him. Even I dreamed about him. His words were haunting me, 'Never forget me, Angel.' " I would never," I opened my eyes and pushed the comforter away. It was the weekend. Livia would be home. I pushed myself up. I could smell alcohol, his cologne and *** on me. What would he be doing? He would have forgotten me? I shook my head.

he said, wagging his eyebrows at me and getting me to laugh just like he wanted. I slapped him playfully on the arm, slipping into old familiarities with too much ease. Old habits do die hard. “It’s not the girl!” “Then what had you staring holes into them?” The Memory of my envy came back to mind. I sighed, blowing the yellow strands of my hair up and out of my face. “Nothing,” I said, setting down the glass on a nearby table. Why did I even come to this party in the first place? I couldn’t even remember anymore.
