A Moth To Flame Chapter 1 Novels & Stories

“He feeds on your fear and doubt. You must banish both.” I swallowed hard and closed my eyes, diving inward to the part of me that still believed, still hoped. The memories of my father’s kindness, my mother’s gentle touch, the fierce loyalty of my pack—they all became fuel for the Flame. It flared brighter, swirling around my arms and chest like liquid fire. Nytheras roared, a sound that shook the very foundation of this place, and surged toward me. I barely had time to react, feeling the icy chill of his claws grazing my skin before I unleashed the Flame in a blinding wave.

The person stuttered, "M-Mr. Zalmer… are you saying D-Dr. Zal—Winifred—is your daughter?" Serena ignored the crowd and moved the cursor to play the surveillance footage. In it, I wore a white laboratory coat and wore a surgical mask as I meticulously worked on an experiment. Everything seemed normal. Just then, the glass beaker before me caught on fire without warning. Flames soon shot to the sky as a thick plume of smoke came from the beaker. Upon seeing that, Raiden pointed at the screen and exclaimed, "There! Winifred, you must've done something wrong. Don't worry, though. I can endure your punishment on your behalf!"

I hissed when I felt his flame touch the side of Shade’s wings. Shade roared as he twisted around, his massive tail thrashing from side to side. He caught the dragon once, and the other one almost went down, but soon he soared above, his wings flapping down on us, as he opened his mouth, and if he breathed fire now, I knew I would be toast. “This would be the time, Nova...” I felt the first burst of flame and then the fucking dragon roared. ---- If you love the story, and want to know more about Vera and Mateo, come join me on my grop f aceb00k - Queens from hell! Tell me what you think. THis has become a longer chapter than I intended.

Pain surges through me, and I hit the ground hard. “Aria!” Lena screams. I push myself up, vision foggy. I can’t win like this. But then, I recall the flames. The golden flame. I close my eyes and reach deep inside. There it is. A spark. A flicker. I pull it forward. The flame bursts from me again, stronger this time, wrapping around my arms and legs like armor. My claws sparkle with golden light. I charge. We clash in the center of the chamber. His blade touches my claws, and for the first time, he staggers.

“Then it has begun.” “What do we do?” She looked upward toward the moonlight struggling to reach this cursed place. We pray the flame does not remember who first lit it. We pray the Alpha heir’s wolf does not try to reclaim what the boy has already shattered. “And if it does?” Her smile deepened. Then the flame will not burn for love. It will burn with vengeance. And the gods will be the first to scream. Her voice lowered to a whisper: Then the packs will bleed. The Moon will weep.

No armor. The air is cool against my skin, and the sky is painted with the fading blush of night. The moon still lingers, faint, but watching. Always watching. A single white moth flutters past me and lands on my shoulder. It stays there, wings trembling, then lifts off and disappears into the trees. My grandmother once said that moths were drawn to danger. To fire. That they couldn’t help but follow light—even if it burned them. I stand. So be it. Let the Alpha see me. Let him try to shape me. Let him learn what happens when you try to leash the moon.

he said, eyes already gone dark. I couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t move. Time stopped. Matteo yelled something. Lazaro’s finger curled. And I knew he was going to pull the trigger. To be continued... Chapter 38 – Burn Them All Amara The city burns. Flames eat through rooftops like hungry mouths, smoke veils the sky until the sun itself disappears. Sirens scream like dying violins. Bullets cut through air thick with the scent of gasoline, blood, and betrayal.

My heartbeat echoed in my ears. 'Fire, come to me,' I whispered in my mind. At first, nothing happened. Then a warmth spread through my chest, pulsing outward like a second heartbeat. My fingers tingled. “Good,” Mother said softly. “Now, let it flow to your hand.” I lifted my hand, and to my shock, a flicker of flame danced across my palm. My eyes flew open. “By the Moon—!” I gasped, nearly dropping it. The flame sputtered, then shot up higher.

My instincts screamed at me to turn back, but I ignored them. I reached out. The second my fingers brushed the book’s surface, a violent shudder tore through me. The world around me vanished. Fire. The vision struck hard and fast, like a blade to my mind. I saw flames swallowing the land, smoke choking the sky, the ground trembling beneath the weight of something monstrous. Shadows moved through the fire, writhing, shifting, forming grotesque shapes—creatures unlike anything I had ever seen. Wolves fought against them, their howls lost in the chaos. A battlefield soaked in blood.

Chapter 1 Bella’s POV “Help! Somebody please!” I screamed until my throat burned, coughing hard as thick black smoke clawed its way down my lungs. The heat pressed in from every side, at my skin through the tank top and shorts I’d thrown on when the alarms first blared. Flames covered the walls of my shitty apartment. I dropped to the floor, crawling toward the door on my hands and knees, but the hallway outside was already a wall of fire.
