Now I hear not only Micheal behind me, but Ansel, and Julian as well. Julian may be new to the group, but he is also upset at a man challenging a woman half his size. But I don't mind, because if I loose it won't matter to me much, since I am a girl, and half his size. However if I win... He would never be able to live it down. My eyes narrow on Chad. "Alright." I say. "I accept your challenge. Standard council challenge rules." I tell him.

I want to be ready if I need to do a partial shift, in case he gets too close. Kai nodded and my handsome shirtless mate disappeared from my eyes, replacing with darkness. “Auri.” He growled. “Don’t break your own rule.” I scoffed. “Your eyes can be deceiving Alpha. Maybe don’t trust them so much.” Captain Felix’s voice boomed out over the area. “Let the official match between challenger Luna Auri Meadows and Alpha Logan Everfall begin.”

An Alpha I didn't know approached the center of the circle we made. Griffin gave me a quick kiss and joined him. Chance joined them as well. "Okay, this challenge is between Beta Chance and future Alpha Griffin for the Alpha's title, position and mate. There will be no weapons but either or both of you can shift any time after the start. The challenge will not end until one of you submits or dies. Do you understand and agree to these terms?" the Alpha questioned.

"Oh, good. They can finish the battle now; they won't face much opposition at this point." I refocused my senses on the attackers trying to elect a person in charge. “They are still arguing.” Raphal hummed as a response. “They have come prepared but weren’t expecting the sudden death of their leaders. We can relax for a while.” “I am not sure about relaxing for I still feel Nix’s rage through the bond.” I heard Raphal chuckle but I wasn’t amused by that fact and continued to observe Nix and the other pack members trying to break free from their chains.

Her opponent asked her. “You know I was born ready” she replied smoothly, raising a brow at him challengingly. He smirked before throwing a punch. She caught his fist in the center and twisted his arm behind his back. In the next instant she threw a kick at his back which caused him to fall to the ground. She kicked him twice more and pinned him to the mat.

I ask, narrowing my eyes at him. "I've known him so much longer than you. Not only him, but this pack. I know what we need more than you do. I am the better fit for Ike, and I'll prove that tonight." I smirk and shake my head. "Good enough for me." I take my stance, trying to ignore the crowd that's now yelling and cursing at me. They seem to have found their fire yet again. "Begin!" Unlike the other two challengers, Adan doesn't charge at me the second Ike yelled. He stands still, eyes roaming over me.

I smile back. "Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the third official challenge in the luna trials!" Theodore's voice booms in the air, and everyone claps their hands while I can't even move my hands due to my body shaking violently. I had no control. I keep glancing over in Hunter's direction, whose eyes have never left mine since I stood on that flight of stairs. This time, his expression was serious, and I knew he would be merciless to me in the challenge.

That wasn’t a fight. That was a statement. A declaration of something none of them can ignore anymore. The challenger—now no longer so confident—lets out a low, strained sound. Not quite a growl. Not quite a whimper. His earlier arrogance has been stripped away, leaving something raw underneath. Survival instinct. His claws dig into the earth as he tries to push himself up. Fails again. Aria takes a step forward. Just one. The sound of it is soft. But the entire clearing reacts as if it were thunder.
