Her Worst Nightmare

Her Worst Nightmare

At the end of the street, where the road curved around the side of a MOT garage, the light on the lamppost was flickering. It blinked. On and off. On and off. The light flared for a second, so bright that I had to squint and turn my head a little to shield from the glare, and then with a loud pop, the bulb blew. A shower of sparks and glass arched up into the air and stopped. Just stopped. I could see the shards of glass suspended there, moonlight refracting through them, sharp lines of light cutting through the air, surrounded by a Catherine Wheel of sparks. Seconds passed and nothing moved, but a rumble of thunder rolled overhead, the sound increasing in volume.

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

Behind Mount Aether lay a secluded valley with treacherous, steep terrain, rendering it inaccessible to ordinary folk. Only Adrian, at this moment, ventured here alone. Navigating through rugged rocky terrain, he reached the valley's deepest recesses. Darkness enveloped the surroundings, punctuated by faint phosphorescent lights rising from the depths, casting an eerie ambiance. Adrian found the scene intriguing. Suddenly, the phosphorescent lights seemed to detect his presence, converging toward him in a slow but deliberate manner as if intending to ensnare him with their mysterious power. Sensing the impending danger, Adrian observed the lights forming a vast formation, threatening to diso

The Last Signal

The Last Signal

Somewhere in the city, metal groaned, a sound like entire towers shifting. Emma staggered to the window and peered out. The skyline was gone. The blackout had swallowed every light, leaving only jagged silhouettes against a starless sky. And then—slowly—points of blue shimmered to life across the horizon. Not electricity. Not fire. Something else. “Look,” Emma whispered. Clusters of pale, shifting light floated above buildings, drifting like phosphorescent clouds. They pulsed in rhythm with the faint vibration under her feet. Lira stepped beside her, gaze distant. “It’s rewriting.”

The Rest Is Light

The Rest Is Light

Alas, no matter how gently I tried, the doll was beyond repair. It was not until the next day, when Rebecca walked by my room, that I started to snap out of it. I picked myself up off the floor. I had someone clear out the room. Silently, I moved to the desk, my eyes landing on the dusty family portrait. There they were, Rebecca and Nash. Her smile was so bright that it hurt to look at. Outside, the sky was a menacing shade of gray. I set the photo on fire with a lighter, and I watched in silence as it turned to ash.

This is such an interesting book, and the characters are really good. Jane is that one friend anybody should have, and then Elara who was called barren was finally going to be having her baby. It's a pity her husband had to cheat on her with her step sister. Overall the story is really good.

Honestly I love that she had a friend like Jane, I love her personality. I love how I could feel every emotion you tried to put into words and everything played like a movie in my thoughts. This is such a good read. Kudos dear author...️

The Prophecy's Pawn

The Prophecy's Pawn

The crimson light from the crack shone brightly, casting shadows across the jagged remains surrounding us. Despite my best efforts, I couldn't take my gaze away from the earth's fracture. The light was more than simply a glow; it moved like liquid fire, bringing whispers and brief visions that made my stomach churn. Shadows swirled in the depths, creating shapes—twisted, half-formed entities that appeared to become closer with each passing second.

Scattered on the Wind

Scattered on the Wind

She lived a peaceful, happy life. At that moment, time seemed to freeze. The bustling summit fell silent in their minds. Dean’s hand trembled slightly, making the amber liquid in his glass ripple. The icy mask on his face cracked, revealing a storm of emotion beneath, only to settle into a gray, lifeless void. He could almost see her in a pristine white wedding dress, smiling with a sense of security he had never been able to give her.
