The Favor: A Forbidden Stepbrother Collection
I look at the tickets and back at James, "I- we- James, I can't afford to go traveling for an entire summer."
He holds my waist tightly, "but I can. I got a large settlement from when my dad died. We could travel for year, comfortably, without it running out." When I got to protest or argue, he holds up a hand, "Ali, I know you want this. I also know that if we don't go, you'll regret it all your life."
He was right, but I wasn't going to tell him. Instead I ask, "what about you? Why would you give up your summer to bankroll my travel dreams?"
