But the book remained silent, its secrets veiled behind the mystical glow of its pages. Aunt Agatha's comforting hand on my shoulder brought me back to reality, her eyes filled with a mixture of excitement and trepidation. "This, my dear, is the Book of Shadows, an old friend of mine," she explained, her voice hushed with reverence. As I gazed upon the illuminated pages before me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder. What secrets lay hidden within the ancient text? What knowledge had been passed down through generations, waiting to be discovered by eager hands?

I hope you are too, and would be ever so humbled if you let me know what you thought of my little part two. Being able to explore my characters through their own points of view was an eye opening experience, and I hoped you loved tuning into Dalton, Kendra, and Jake's thoughts just as much as the lead's, Hollis and Whitney's. Despite this book taking five months to write, a month less than two of my other novels, "Not All Who Wander Are Lost" is by far my longest book, nearing 600 pages. I couldn't avoid it since there was so much I wanted to cover, and there are no regrets.

She decided to relax on her bed a bit, slowly she drifted off to sleep. Nathaniel Hawthorne sat in his office, lost in thought, struggling to come to terms with the mate bond he shared with the Omega. His wolf was restless, and his mind was consumed by thoughts of the Omega, more than he cared to admit. He growled, rubbing his forehead, and removed his glasses, feeling frustrated and out of control.

Nathaniel just couldn't believe it. Throughout his life, he had learned that wonders did not exist. He was first ignored, then hated, abandoned, and finally send to die in a war when he was barely twelve. Sure, there were some good memories, but wonders... they were things from myths. He didn't believe in them, much less expect them to happen to him, whose fate seemed to end with death on the battlefield.

“I don’t sleep much.” I should have stepped back, but I didn’t. The room seemed smaller with him in it, the walls pressing in as if to keep us close. He reached past me, plucking a worn leather-bound volume from the shelf. “This one,” he said, setting it on the table, “is worth losing sleep for.” It was an old history text, its pages brittle, the ink faded. He didn’t open it right away—just stood there, one hand resting on the cover, his gaze locked on me like he was searching for something.

I said with a grin. We couldn’t talk much after that because the teacher started class. We were continuing to read The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne. It’s a depressing book about a colonial woman who has a child out of wedlock, and is shunned. I don’t know why English teachers insist on having students read such depressing literature. Still, I heard one of the other classes was doing The Crucible by Arthur Miller. Somehow, Scarlet Letter seems less depressing than a bunch of girls faking possession. Maybe.

Breach either, be it friend, family, or business, and that person was out of her universe forever. After getting comfortable on her couch, Anna turned to the first page and started reading. Unlike the first time she began the manuscript, she was relieved to find that both her mind and body remained in her present home. She relaxed a bit more and scanned through the first several paragraphs, her usual first read-through method before she decided to either dump the rest of the book, or actually take her time to read every word. It was a little wonder how Mark, Joan and Nate had met each other. Nate had stopped painting since he was eleven, his father motivated him the most and now that he was gone, he didn’t see the need to paint anymore. She found a black dusty book beneath the box. It was the journal. She heaved a sigh of relief, she had rummaged through so many boxes all because of one odd looking book. She opened it to confirm. The first page read: this book belongs to Wesley Jacobin. She traced her fingertips over the beautiful writing. She imagined Wesley to be a woman of great taste and valor, maybe Nate was a little bit like him but more intense and more of a heartbreaker.
