"Cast list went up an hour ago. You got Juliet." Something in my chest lifted anyway. Stupid, considering everything else sitting on top of me right then, but it lifted all the same. I'd auditioned back before things fell apart with Gray. Before any of this. Some small, dumb part of me had hoped we'd both land the leads and get to stand on a stage together again, the way we used to as kids doing elementary school plays with paper crowns and bedsheet togas. "Who got Romeo?" I asked, already bracing for a name I barely knew. Some junior. Somebody from drama club I'd exchanged maybe six words with in three years.

Max responds with a genuine half-smile, quite different from his usual smirks. But as cheesy as his confession may have been—and judging by the look on Max's face, I think he's just realized it, too—I can't deny that it warmed my heart once again. "Screw it. If it means having you back in my life, I'd even recite Act 2, Scene 2 of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet to you." That earns a small smile from me. Act 2, Scene 2—the iconic balcony scene where Romeo and Juliet profess their love for each other. It's impossible not to smile at such a lighthearted jest.

Ruggerio continues, the crowd listening mesmerized. “He is so cute,” Ginevra whispers, her gaze still glued on him. “She is not talking to me as I’m not worthy to hear the melodic sound of her voice.” Ruggerio gets everyone in his ban, as he recites his version of the famous act of Romeo and Juliet.

Rose gave me the idea, saying that it will bother her brother and get me some much-needed entertainment. The show progresses and the lights around us dim or brighten with each scene. The hall is packed with an audience who laugh, cry and clap as one scene ends and the other begins. I forget about Xavier for a while as I enjoy the show, the romance pulling me in. "This scene always gets me," I sniff as Romeo gets the poison and settles on Juliet's tomb. "What do you think, Xavier?" I look at him only to find him dozing off with his head slouched to the side, arms folded over his chest, and softly snoring?

"Oh, Juliet, she has taken the pills, is Romeo going to understand the letter, or he will misinterpret it, let's see what Romeo will do when he meets her.'' Eve realizes that her uncle Tony is not there. "Oh no, Tony is not here, who is going to do that for her?" Whitney asked "So you are still expecting that boy to be here?" Gregory asked Whitney, hey you should go up and act as Romeo, he shrugged. "What did you mean by that?" "I can't... I.. am..." Gregory wants to scold him but a voice comes up on the stage. "Juliet!" He calls, his voice is soft, Cathy wonders who the person is, the light moves from her to the person, it's Craig.

Juliet stood up, walked to a mirror hanging on the wall, and gazed at her reflection. "Wow, this is Elena, not Juliet," I whispered, standing behind her. "You're not changed, Juliet," I said, my voice laced with concern. "But your eyeballs are something I can never forget." Juliet turned around, saw my facial expression in the mirror, and gave me a quick kiss. "Don't worry, Mark. Everything will be fine," she whispered. "I need you to act along with the plan," she begged. "Don't let your emotions damage what we've planned. This is our chance, and it's the last chance we'll ever have."

Romeo will help my dad because or else I will see my dad being sad and broken hearted. Suddenly there's a knock on the door and my dad got up from the seat instantly. He walked to the door and opened it. He smiled widely and shook the man's hand. I got up from the sofa and walked towards the door. My eyes widened and I gulped to see.. him. So he's Mr. Romeo. He saw me and he didn't look surprised at all. My dad led him inside and my dad asked him to sit. He smirked at me and then he turned to my dad.

I hear Romeo say. I couldn't keep myself up anymore. I passed out.

Instead of catching him, she tripped over her own foam feet. With a muffled "Oof!" five feet of processed-meat costume slammed into the CEO of Wagner Enterprises. Sion didn't just fall; he was tackled. He went down hard, his face landing squarely against Frankie’s oversized, painted-on smile. Lilia landed on top of him with a squeak of compressed foam, her plastic mustard bottle flying out of her hand and exploding across Sion’s pristine white shirt. For a moment, there was only the sound of the rain and the distant honk of a car.

I delivered the next dialogue. “ I will hold onto your words, Juliet…” but before I could complete my dialogue, I saw Alice walk towards me. This rendered me speechless. What was she doing on the stage? She must have come to investigate why Aaron was saying such funny dialogues. “ Who are you?” I asked hoping that she would give me some clue so that I can react accordingly. In reply, she slapped me and yelled, “ Romeo, have you forgotten your mother. Oh God! What will I do now? His love for Juliet has rendered him blind. He doesn’t even recognize me.”
