Whatever I saw doesn’t matter again, I remind myself. “Thank you, Silas.” Adam nods in his direction. “Now, let’s meet in the library after school starting from today, so we can start piecing this project early, so that we can be done with it sooner.” He adds. “Sure.” I say. “Whatever.” Elena mumbles “Great… so, see you guys then.” Adam waves playfully at the two and without a second more, they both turn the other direction and begin walking away. Adam turns as well but stops once he realizes I’m glued to my spot, watching them as they slowly walk away.

He stretched his arms out across the table, and yawned. “Is it just me, or are we getting too old for this shit?” I chuckled, struggling to my feet, “Remind me why you thought this was a good idea.” “Honestly, I don’t remember.” Adam was laughing even though he held his head as if it was still spinning. I know mine was. “Shit! Is that the time?” I checked my wristwatch, and understood why Adam panicked to his feet. It was almost 11 a.m - on a weekday.

But their curious eyes openly stayed glued to me. I could almost hear the questions running through their minds. "Mr. Dalton!" A young man suddenly rushed forward, a tablet clutched tightly in his hands. "What’s my schedule for this morning, Adam?" Dalton asked smoothly, not slowing down. "You have a meeting with the investors in twenty minutes. Then by 1 PM, you have a reservation at Royal Restaurant with Miss. Queensley, and—" "Enough," Dalton cut him off sharply. Adam visibly flinched and snapped his mouth shut.

“I love dangerous things.” Adrain laughed. “I don’t have time for games, Clara.” Clara’s heart dropped a little. Before she could even feel disappointed he added, “But, I can give you ten minutes. Clara was in shock completely, and her eyes widened. “Really?” “Yes.” Her breathing became faster. “Tomorrow night,” Adrain continued. “Eight o’clock.” Clara’s face brightened. “Where?” “I’ll send the address shortly.” Clara’s heart started racing.

After the night at the house, it just became a week of piled work and I think I’m gonna get sick of speed running the reviews especially when Adam and I have a date tomorrow, well it’s not a date actually. I think it’s more of a visitation type of thing since we are going to Natalie’s house so I could meet Mr. Leon. Adam also haven’t been staying at the house, he’s still at his hotel and he sometimes just drop by in the office in a very weird way--- he appears out of thin air, always surprising the hell out me.

I hung up with a massive smile on my face. I already had two dates with Adam to look forward to. I couldn't believe it. Adam was such a gentleman and a man like him was hard to find. Part of me was sure that he was the man for me.

"Oh, great." "We need to sit together in our free time and discuss the project. So, when will you two be free?" Adam asked, getting straight to the point. Adam exchanged numbers with us before leaving with his friends and didn’t linger more than necessary. "He seems like a nice guy," Lana commented, watching his retreating figure.

Adam arrived in Berlin, Germany at about 4 pm. From the airport, he went straight to the serviced apartment he would be staying in. After resting for a couple of minutes, he joined a very important zoom meeting which lasted for almost an hour. Then he took a long nap when the meeting was over. Sleeves eventually opened his eyes, reached for his phone that was beside him, he saw that it was way past midnight. A little over 1:30 am. Adam went through all pending notifications on his phone, then he decided to call Kara. She picked up almost immediately as though She had been expecting his call.

Who the hell had a meeting by 6 am in the morning? He drove Damian to work. They got there much faster as the streets were clear of traffic. They pulled up in front of the office and Damian got out. He walked in and saw Adam sitting in the lobby doing some work on his laptop. Damian was quite surprised. What was Adam doing here at this time of the day? "Adam?"
