"I believe you're aware that pack matters only stay within the pack, and I hate repeating myself." There was a soft knock on the door, dividing my attention. It was Jackson with a bandaid on his nose. I'd asked him before, he said he'd gone hunting alone. He was without the suit, only wearing a crisp white shirt with grey pants. "Sir, you have a meeting in twenty minutes." He said quickly, before noticing the thick air in the room. Jackson doubled as my secretary at the office, quite reliable compared to the other knuckle heads that called themselves my board.

“Come as soon as you can.” Jackson returns the nod and exhales, long and slow, before striding down the hall towards the usual door. When he turns the handle and pushes it open, he’s not surprised to see the smaller man sitting in his chair, his laptop open before him, waiting. “McClintock,” Hank says, nodding towards the chair. “Nice to see you today.” “I’m afraid I can’t stay long, sir,” Jackson says, quietly closing the door behind him and moving to the chair, taking his seat. “We’ve had some news.”

Turns out by later, Jackson meant three hours later. The doorbell rang around 7:45. Mom and Dad were seeing a play in St. Lourdes. So I hauled my lazy ass down the stairs and looked through the peephole. It was Jack, holding a tub of popcorn. It was adorable that he'd brought it to me, but I was dressed in ratty sweatpants and a used-to-be-white camisole. I opened the door anyway, grinning out at him.

I say. "Well, she's doing her job then." Jackson says. "Alright. Well, tomorrow morning. Do you know the time?" I asked. "I arranged it for 11am? Is that alright with you?" He asked. "Yeah. That's fine with us. That will give us a chance to talk things over with our team in the morning. But Taylor is looking really tired right now. I want her to get some rest." Jackson says. "Absolutely."John said, getting out of our way.

Jackson's office number. “Hello sir,” he said. “Evan,” Mr. Jackson responded. “I have arrived. Driving in right now.” “Don’t.” Evan got surprised. “Why sir?” “We are meeting at Cairo apartments. We’ll be having a brunch meeting. Meet us here at 11am.” “We?” “Yes Evan. You’ll find us. Don’t be late,” Mr. Jackson cut the call. Evan wondered who the third person was. Initially, the meeting was between him and Mr. Jackson. He reached Cairo apartments at exactly 11am. As expected, he found Mr. Jackson waiting for him in the lobby.

Jessica turns to Jason and I asking hopefully, "Um, Jackson and I were wondering if you two would like to come over for Christmas tomorrow?" Jason looks at me and I shrug, it's his decision. "Sure mom, we'd love too. What time?" Jessica looks at Jackson who shrugs. "How about eleven in the morning?" We nod in agreement and promise to be there. They head home and Jason asks me if I want to go for our walk still. I nod, I need out of the house to think. We walk around the neighborhood and take in the view of the trees and the grasses gently coated in a white dusting.

It made Jackson nervous that Bronn might be involved, but at least the men wouldn't be coming after Chloe again until they got out of the hospital. Jackson glanced at the small clock on the lower right hand of his screen. It was almost the end of the lunch hour, and he had been in his office long enough; it would make perfect sense to anyone watching him for him to take a break. He closed his laptop and carefully locked it away. He grabbed his field jacket and went to take a walk around the compound.

After lunch, Jackson didn't drive Serenity back to her office. Instead, the Maybach pulled up in front of the most luxurious building on Fifth Avenue: The House of Winston. "Jackson, I have a meeting at 2 PM!" Serenity protested as the car stopped. "Cancel it," Jackson said, stepping out. "This is more important." Serenity noticed something strange. Usually, this jewelry store was bustling with tourists and rich shoppers. Today, it was completely empty. The security guards were standing at the door, blocking everyone else.

Raine asked. "You can start Friday. Be here at 5pm to do paperwork. Bar opens at 7pm and closes at 2am. Staff is expected to work 6pm until 3am for setup and cleanup. Fridays and Saturdays, we are open to the public. Sunday through Thursday is biker only." Jax explained. "Ok. So, what days will I work?" Raine asked. "For now, Friday and Saturday. Then fill in as needed. Got a couple girls who like to call in last minute. Will that be a problem for you?" Jax asked.

She has to do parenting, it can not be Louis. "Hello, Luna you there..." Jackson asked she hummed. "Okay, I will tell him, when will you arrive here?" She asked. "Luna, we are on our way home. I will be there till 6:09 pm." Jackson informed her, she again hummed then cut off the call after a few sentences.
