“Which prophecy?” Elder Mael glanced around carefully before speaking. “The one your father warned you of long ago. The prophecy of the Blood Moon. The one tied to the rise of the Moon-Gifted Luna.” Kaelen’s chest tightened. “Aria is nothing like the Luna from the prophecy.” “Perhaps not,” Mael said. “But prophecy is fluid, not rigid. And the signs are aligning.” Rowan stepped closer, lowering his voice. “If you fail to protect her, Kaelen… the prophecy will destroy us all.”

I warned. “Still protecting her?” she hissed. “You never learn, do you? The prophecy won’t spare her. It never does.” I didn’t answer. I just turned, forcing myself toward the door as the temple trembled around us. Every instinct screamed that something had shifted. Outside, the wind howled like a living thing.
