After Rejection Novel Nala Novels & Stories

I asked. “Does it look like I care about your goody-two-shoes appearance, or what you've done, breathing in this pack polluting our air? Just get lost.” He said making my heart drop. this entire mate thing was a pain. never again, will I, Noella, accept anyone as my mate. Never! “I Noella Cindy James, accept your rejection, and reject you, alpha Nathanial Jonathan West,” I said as the tears uncontrollably fell. “Rejection accepted, and thank you for rejecting me.” He said without looking back at what he said.

Aliya pouted, and I nearly choked on the water I was drinking. At this point, I refused to believe Aliya was a victim. That comeback—I didn’t see it coming. The rage burning in Nala’s eyes was evident, but she played it cool. Even a fool could tell there was no love or respect between these two. I couldn’t even comprehend why they pretended in my presence. “I’m so happy for you both, really. But I’m still young, and I love exploring—especially committed men. They do the most,” Nala remarked as she cleared her plate of chicken salad.

That was when she realised the Alpha was running towards her too. Her heart leapt with hope, but nothing prepared her for what was to come next. Zane stopped in front of her. She expected him to engulf her in a warm embrace and claim her there in the front of the pack and end her sufferings, but that was far from being the case. "I, Zane, the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, hereby reject you, Maya, as my mate," he said, earning a gasp from the pack members. Maya held her chest, gasping for air. I never knew rejection hurts this much, she thought. She looked in his eyes hoping he would take his word back, but nothing of such happened. Instead, he grabbed her neck.

Jasmine, on the other hand, squeezed my hands tightly before walking away. “Be good,” she whispered. At first, I was excited, thinking that he wanted to apologize but then when he told me that he only wanted to finish our rejection process because according to him, I was supposed to be present, I was hurt. “Go on with it then,” I gritted, ignoring the way his friends who had waited behind jeered. Even Michael was shocked, I could see it. Without even the tiniest hint of remorse, he rejected me in front of his friends, and this time, the pain I felt was a hundred times greater than the one of last night.

I tried to force a light laugh as I walked past her. “I think you need it, the alpha rejected in front of everyone and he wants me now.” She bragged immediately she grabbed my hands. I stared at her, still shocked and hurt by everything happening, I couldn’t believe she would do this and I didn’t know why she did. “I can’t talk to you right now.” I muttered weakly. My whole body trembled as I made my way home slowly, my mind was spinning. What was actually going on with me? In a span of hours, Nathan rejected me and my ex best friend is kissing and laying claims to someone who was once my mate.

She settled on, dipping her head, in case her features spoke the truth. As if that was all Aaron had to hear, he huffed his approval then turned to leave. Nala moved to follow him as he headed for the door, but instead he pointed at the table and chair in the centre of the room. “No. You need to wait here for a while longer. There are still five more to test.” “Test?” She frowned, the word tasting sour on her tongue. “Yes.” He grinned, his charming demeanour reset and ready as he hovered in the doorway. “Congratulations Nala, you have been accepted into the Luna Games.”

He affirmed, his eyes bloodshot with anger as they pierced through me. My heart pricked and suddenly it felt like I’d lost the ability to breathe. I never knew that being rejected would hurt this much, especially by an Alpha. I felt like dying and Nala, she’s probably dead by now because after hearing her painful howl, I didn't feel her anymore. The pain from the rejection was heart wrenching and after my heart, I began to feel my body threatening to break. “But if you think for once that I’ll ever let you go, then you’re severely mistaken.” He growled through gritted teeth, his hands wrapped around my neck, depriving me of air.

“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. Please, just come with me so we can talk.” With anger fuelling me, I stood and squared my shoulders, facing him. “I, Alina Everett of the Viridian Creek Pack, reject you, Joshua Tanner of the Teal Valley Pack, as my mate.” Stella howled in my mind, and it was deafening. ‘No, Allie!’ Josh’s eyes burned into mine in a sea of pain and anger. “I do not accept your rejection.” “Go to hell, Josh.”

Chapter 1 The rejection hit Elena before Kane had even finished saying the words. “I, Kane Silvercrest, Alpha of the Silvercrest Pack, reject Elena Voss as my mate.” A collective gasp swept through the courtyard. Elena's knees struck the cold stone. She barely felt the impact. Her eyes stayed on Kane. He hadn't even let go of Priscilla Ashworth's hand. He stood there holding the pack heiress as though nothing had happened, as though rejecting Elena while standing beside another woman was the most natural thing in the world.

⸻ (Nikolai’s POV — Third Person) She shouldn’t have looked that good. Nayla was supposed to fade. Disappear. He’d done everything to make sure of it. Every application she sent? Every reference she submitted? He made calls. Blocked them all. It wasn’t personal— Not really. It was just easier if she stayed dependent. Quiet. Forgotten. But she wasn’t. She was glowing. Feral and soft, all at once. And when she said she had a job— his blood boiled. He’d given Alara the Luna title.
