Lyla walked up to my side and placed her hand on my shoulder, as if comforting me, telling me it was okay.
“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust” The priest said. Sebastian was the first one to be handed a shovel, he removed a bit of earth with it, he tossed it onto the coffin, his grandfather was next and I followed. I watched as the sand fluttered into the hole, landing silently on the casket. That was supposed to be my goodbye, but can I call it goodbye when it’s my first time meeting her?
When we got back to the mansion, I entered my room and put on some music. It was a playlist of mine that I named Down the river. I had selected those songs the night my grandfather died.
