No Apologies, No Regrets
Beside her stood her mother, and Judah’s, holding each of her hands.
When her name was called, she didn’t move at first.
But slowly, guided by Jenny and the Agency Director, Fedora stepped forward.
“This woman,” the Director began, “is the wife of the man we now honor. Even when she didn’t know the whole truth. Even when the work he did was hidden in shadows. She has built a home for him. Is raising his children. Held his heart.”
He turned to Fedora, offering a folded American flag, its corners crisp and ceremonial. “For your loss, for your strength, and for the silent sacrifice that only the loved ones of our agents understand… the Agency appreciates you.”
