Alice Hoffman Practical Magic Book Set Novels & Stories

Lotus said that this book contained every witch practice and all kinds of power that is almost impossible to handle. “Grandma, this is a precious book, please I don't deserve it". I said in a modest way but honestly, I wanted the book. “I am really old now and I want to make sure that this book is in the rightful hands before I die. I must tell you that this book is not to be misused. It contains powerful magic words that can destroy things and also amend things as well and I know that you won't misuse the power. Just keep it safe with you and use it when necessary”.

“No, not at all. I’m happy to do it. Besides, you’ll need to practice before we attack. That will have to be the next spell you learn. Also, make sure to practice using your magic every day. As I said before, magic needs to be exercised and practiced.” “I will.” “Good!” A broad smile spread across her face. “I’ll give you the spell for the tea. Also, I want you to practice the spell to light candles and to illuminate a room.” She shrugged. “You never know when you might need it.” I nodded. “Sounds good. Thank you for everything.”

"Use this spell book Ariel" Ariel jolted back as she finally made out those words written. But her racing heart calmed down after a while and Ariel took the book and it opened up it's pages again. This time, Ariel seemed to find the words more easier to read. On this page, was written: The healing spell. Below it, were some strange words written. Ariel figured out that this page was actually for her at that moment because her hand was already bleeding from the cut.

Noticing what she was looking, her dad smiled. "That is the symbol for alchemy in magick. This book is called Bnane's Book of Potions." Her dad said as he kept patting it as if the book was a little child or a favorite pet. "And only people with magick can open this book. All the special books can only be opened by the magick in our blood. Other normal books, about magick, about wiccan culture and symbols, now anyone can open it."

Danica walked to the shelf she and Helia had searched and stopped at the section with the label, ‘Love Spell Books’. She looked at the shelf and her eyes fell on the blue, big book at the end of the shelf. It was seated there. Just like she had kept it. "Very good," she said to herself and took the book out. She smiled as she turned to the last page of the book and read what was written at the end of the page. "Warning: Dark magic," she read out. "For each gain, there's pain." Danica cackled as she recalled how she had coaxed Helia to make a magic potion.

“Someone broke into my house today and left your perfume behind. Josh smelled it in the book. "That's because he wanted you to feel it," Clara said, holding out the book and opening it in half. She pulled a small magnifying glass from the drawer beneath the register and examined the spines and edges of the pages. She pulled a slim pair of tweezers from her belt pouch and slipped them into the binding. A few moments later, she pulled out a thin feather. — Yes, this is indeed a very skilled magician. - What is that? "Part of a spell," said Clara, smelling pity. “A charm, actually. You need to get tested to confirm, of course, but I'm sure it's poisoned.

I apologized. “I do not have time for this but I do appreciate and accept your apology, now skip to the important parts,” He urges me. “Very well,” I said and placed the book of spells down in front of him. “What is this?” He asked in confusion. I smiled, “It is the imposter’s spell book which she used to cast spells that helped her to look like your daughter,” Alpha Elijah picked up the book and opened it. He gasped when he read the words. I felt gratified by the look on his face.

AURORA’S POV I closed my eyes and focused on the place I had seen in my memories and tried to teleport there. A few minutes later I had fallen on the ground, drenched in sweat and panting with exertion. My magical powers weren’t enough to penetrate the dark shield. There was only one way now… Teleporting to the sanctuary, I took out ‘The Heart of Magic’. I shivered at the currents of power coursed through me by just holding it.

I sit up a little more in the bed, take a deep breath and whisper, “My Bloodline's Book of Power, My bloodline's book of spells. I call you to me.” I smile as my bloodline's book of shadows appears on my lap. I open the cover and slide my hand over the first page. I take a deep breath in and close my eyes, letting my magick blend with the book. As soon as I lift my hand, the pages start to flicker, knowing what I need and not stopping until it reaches the spell incarnation I need.

I call Ri'elle for advice. "Hey Ri... It's me. Listen... We are trying to work a protection spell over a few safe houses, I have a spell from this book 'White magic for times of war' It seemed pretty straight forward, but now..." I jump straight into the issue, knowing that neither of us has time to waste at the moment. Ri'elle sighs "Okay, what is the book telling you to offer up as a trade?"
