3 Adriel Zion Dormer Ah. fuck. The pain was crazy. I was dampened in my own blood, my shirt was half chopped from the middle. Laying down on the medical bed felt odd. I barely ever made it to here. Probably after two years. There were four wounds on my abdomen, three opened and yet to be attended while one was getting stitched by my own sister, who happened to be one of the doctors of our pack, a kind soul who chose to torture me by not injecting a sedative.

If it was a gold star, then she had failed because they weren't stamped all over. Her teacher Mrs Peterson was heart broken for the small, innocent little girl. So much so that by the end of school year, she had broken down into tears over the kind of life she was being forced to live, as her husband, held, and rocked her gently, trying to soothe her distress. As at when Sara would turn 8, Michael was hurt and sad that she never got to see his little girl, her first cry, her first steps were taken in his absence and even the first day of school,all the moments he ever craved.

You just… showed them where the pieces were.” “That’s not better,” I said, a hot tear rolling down my cheek. “No,” Noah agreed, leaning against the desk. “It’s not. But it is honest. And now, we must deal with what comes next.”

Shards sparkled through the air as Jeff burst in like an untamed beast.

My Grandma died some few years ago but not after telling me everything I have to know, not after leaving a great burden on my shoulders. It was after her death that I decided to relocate. Thea tried all her best to let me stay but I told her I had to leave for my own good. I know that it is bad and very coward of me to always relocate when I am betrayed. I know I should learn to face my demons but what can a broken person really do? What good can ever come out of a broken Pieces of heart? Thea even insisted to follow me here too but I immediately turned her down and explained things clearly to her and she eventually understood.

Her breath caught. “But breaking doesn’t always mean ending,” I continued, my voice gentler now, steadier as I managed to sniff in my snort. “Sometimes it just means we come back… differently.” She stared at me like she was trying to hold onto every word, like they might slip away if she didn’t. “There’s a saying,” I added, reaching up to wipe a tear from her cheek, my thumb lingering there for just a second, “pieces broken beyond repair that come back together can’t be broken again.”

He took a deep breath and continued. "I can't take the weight of your love, I just can't. I'm getting lost on you, I feel like you'll be safe in the hands of another. I'm beyond damaged, I'm broken to the core. There are times I've felt maybe I'm not broken, just bent, but now, now I know I'm broken. Despite knowing broken things still work, I also know there's an expiry date. Broken things work till they don't."

It makes us whole and sometimes it makes us shattered into pieces where we don’t know how to start on picking up the pieces and just try to live with the pieces that still made us alive and breathing. Those pieces that still gave an intact on our life but we already know that it was as fragile as a glass for one moment, we are already trying to outlive the past only to see ourselves stumbling on the ground and our words being shattered again by those pieces which we believes makes us intact and alive only to realize that those pieces remember every bit of her. Those pieces holds us together for it was the only pieces that remains for her.
