Kalis POV I woke with burning sensation through out my entire body, the room was empty but I heard scatter on the other side of the door. some kind of commotion was going on, how long was I out for. My back felt pretty normal but I really didn't feel well. I felt so nauseous and dizzy, my whole body felt like the static on the t.v. . What is going on? I over hear, "Alpha Thomas room 2, Take Alpha Bellamy to the OR stat."

I walked quickly to my house, trying to shudder myself from his stare. ------------------------------------------- I had fallen asleep, groggily, my eyes opened as I stared at the ceiling. My fingers grabbed the side of the bed, and my realization upon grasping the covers. Alone. I was always alone, so why did I still reach out? I still always reached out. I sat up in bed, eyes moving around the room. I grabbed my phone next to me, seeing the time. Already, I had slept through another day. My hands moved up to my throat. Dry. Of course it was, all the medication made it dry.

“Just remember, you don’t have to do it alone.” I frown, confused. “What do you mean?” Permiton gives me a small, reassuring smile. “You’re trying to carry this burden by yourself, but that’s not how this works. You don’t have to do it alone, Maerilee. Let us help you.” He gestures to the others, and one by one, they step forward, each of them placing a hand on my shoulder, my elbow, my back. Their touch is grounding, steadying. I can feel their presence like a warm current, surrounding me, lending me their strength. Even Jimmen, Orindan, and Carmelina stand close, their eyes filled with silent support.

I think my heart may be in overload right now as Loe sits us both up and holds me in the tightest hug. He whispers in my ear “Noone’s separating us this time Noves. No one and nothing. I swear on my life”

“You mean me.” She tilted her head, just slightly. “Affirmative.” And the screen went black. Silence slammed down like a door. The cradle’s walls began to pulse red. “Unregistered signature approaching,” the system voice chimed. “Single inbound unit. Velocity: abnormal. Signature: S-07-Prime.” “She’s coming,” I said. Kieran grabbed my wrist. “Then we face her.” But I pulled away. “No. I have to do this. Alone.”

That same connection. Faint. But there. “He’s still alive,” I whisper. “Unconfirmed,” the system replies. “I don’t need confirmation.” “You are assuming—” “I’m knowing.” Silence. Because it can’t measure that. Because it can’t quantify it. Because it’s not something it understands. I take a slow breath. Then another. Calm. Controlled. Focused. “You said I’m alone,” I say. “Yes.” “You’re wrong.” Silence. “He’s still here,” I continue. “Maybe not physically. Maybe not where I can reach him.”

she called again. Nothing answered. Not even delay. Her chest tightened slightly. “So it is really gone,” she whispered. Elsewhere, Adrian stood in his own continuity layer. The environment was stable. Predictable. But completely isolated. He spoke once. “Anna.” No response. Not even partial echo. He exhaled slowly. “We are fully decoupled.” A pause. Then he added quietly, “Which means whatever comes next will not be shared.” Anna walked slowly through her space. Everything looked normal.
