There are wolves everywhere, beautiful wolves, there has to be thousands of them, all growling and snapping. Some of the wolves are black, some brown, some grey, most of them with stripes of other colors. She tries to take it all in, she doesn't move an inch of her body asides her head. She's also trying to see if she can spot Jason but, since she's never seen him in wolf form, she doesn't know which wolf he is. She turns her head to ask Katie to point out Jason to her when she sees him. She definitely sees him.

' He snaps. 'War it is!' I say, growling. 'War it is then!' Alpha Zenith yells as he walks back to his warriors. He shifts into an ugly, large, grey wolf. His ear is missing, and he is worn and ragged. I shift into my black wolf and let out a howl, signalling war. In wolf form, my warriors charge toward Alpha Zenith's warriors. I lose sight of him and charge toward the others, attacking us, crashing into them, and biting any area of fur exposed to me.

Shifting drills begin, wolves transforming fully now, massive forms pacing controlled combat circles beneath my command. Dominance challenges rise naturally. Two males clash too aggressively and I step forward instantly. This had to work. The last I’d heard of the yellow wolf’s bane, it was being used by a pack of wolves known as the Red dawn who were based out in the Borderlands. They were however, not a very welcoming lot. Shit! This was going to be difficult. I wasn’t looking forward to meeting the mad doctor they called an Alpha. Her reputation of sadism and diabolical experiments were well known in these parts. Rumor even had it that she was hideously deformed, looking more beast than woman. Even her betas were said to possess the strength and speed of two werewolves combined into one.

“What’s your Alpha’s wolfs name?” “Huh? Oh, Helios. Right, Michael?” “I think so. I think that’s what Beta said. But Alpha’s wolf is non-verbal.” Rubbing his arm, I put on a sweet smile. “Helios?” The wolf looked at me again, giving me a toothy grin. “Good boy.
