He laughs very loud and looks back at Bela Talbot. "Did you see that, girl? A lowly floor cleaner knows her place much better than you do! She knows she is nothing." He grabs the big glass bottle of strong pack wine and slams it on the crystal table again. "Drink every single drop of this right now. If you do not do it, I am calling Jody Harvelle down here."

“Are you insane? Why are you climbing back up?” I shot him a glare from the side as I ascended the rickety steps. “Well, Mr. Alpha, unlike you, I have a bunch of cobwebs to clean and a huge floor to sweep.” He glanced around, and for a second I actually saw the realization hit him at how dirty and huge the place was. “Why are you cleaning all of this alone?” he asked, his voice lower now.

Grace replied. “When you say deep clean, what does this mean?” I asked. “It means we had to clean every nook and cranny of the house. Under the chairs, cupboards, and beds. We raised everything and cleaned properly,” Grace replied. I looked at Ryder, and I could see the realization flickering in his eyes. “And did you raise the Alpha's bed and clean under it, or did you neglect to do that?” I asked, still looking at Ryder. “We did not neglect to do that!” they both hastily replied. “We cleaned under his bed.”

I blinked my eyes to get rid of the tears that were ready to fall. "I understand," I said to Maya after I was sure there was no sadness in my eyes. "If you clean the dust off the photos, you have to put them back in their original positions," Maya remarked, pointing to the ones on the nightstand. "Alpha can detect it. He remembers the layout of every object in this room." “I will remember. I will not make a mistake,” I said confidently. Maya looked at me deeply and seemed hesitant to speak, but because she was a good woman, she told me even though her voice was shaking. “Don’t make Alpha angry.” She shook her head.
