Water stains streaked the crumbling walls, forming grotesque patterns that resembled clawing monsters. Overhead, a few flickering lights cast a faint, sickly glow, as if threatening to extinguish at any moment. Alexander stepped inside, his footsteps heavy against the stone floor. His gaze immediately locked onto the figure lying in the center of the room, draped in a white sheet.
