Alexander said coldly before striding out of the office. "Wait for me! I'll go with you!" Dana called, scrambling to keep up. *** The damp, dimly lit dungeon reeked of decay and rot. Water stains streaked the crumbling walls, forming grotesque patterns that resembled clawing monsters. Overhead, a few flickering lights cast a faint, sickly glow, as if threatening to extinguish at any moment. Alexander stepped inside, his footsteps heavy against the stone floor. His gaze immediately locked onto the figure lying in the center of the room, draped in a white sheet.

“Or maybe I just like the game.” The driver drops me at the mansion just before midnight. Lights still burn in Alex’s study window, shadows moving behind the glass. For a moment, I pause at the gates, watching. He doesn’t know. None of them do. Inside, I press my back to the door, heartbeat racing, not from guilt, but from how close I came to forgetting this was a game. Daemon wants the woman with the lost memory back.
