The shorter child removed her hood and smiled happily, “Hey, Mommy! It’s me!” “Huh? What are you guys doing?” “Happy Halloween, Miss Brown!” At that point, everyone in costumes removed their masks and hoods. Alice recognized that they were all her neighbors in the building. Alice, surprised, touched her forehead and said, “What are you doing?” Mona, Alice’s neighbor, approached her at that moment. She was dressed up as a Corpse Bride and wore black lipstick. She said with a smile, “Are you terrified? It’s our Halloween event, and we are scaring everyone who comes home after dark. Let me tell you, you are not the only one who scared by us.”

She had a ring on a pair of boots to match her crop top- -a bad decision for the weather that day.

She nodded and smile. "Do you remember the parties in the pack house?" I asked her. "Can I forget it?" Amy chuckled. "They were wonderful. You always had such creative themes, and we all got so excited when you organized those parties." "Those were good times," I said, a warm smile spreading across my face. "Remember the Halloween party when Ryan and I showed up dressed as The Addams Family?" "Oh yeah, you had the cutest costumes, and you were so in love," Amy trailed off, her tone turning slightly melancholic.
