The feeling of my arm disappeared, and my entire body began to shake. Everything felt like it was out of my control entirely; my head, along with my emotions, was whirling. They were whirling around like wild tornadoes, determined to destroy anything in its path. They were going crazy like a hurricane, turning the skies grey and blowing the trees in all sorts of directions. I couldn’t seem to stop the panic attack from consuming me altogether. Tears streamed down my face; I felt completely helpless. I’m not sure how long we’ve been driving for, or where we even were.

The familiar thrums of a feeling I never wanted reached me. An anxiety attack. No. I couldn't lose control in a filthy storage shed in a place I didn't know. I gripped my arms tightly, trying to use pain to block out the panic. I rocked my body, keeping up continuous motions that kept everything at bay. The more constant the movements, the lighter I felt. The walls, no longer closing in but still constraining me. Time passed endlessly until I couldn't tell how long I'd been rocking in place. I remained adrift, lost that I didn't notice a sharp knock. “Is anyone here?”

My whole body shakes, a feverish heat rolling under my skin, but it doesn’t matter, I need out. I claw at the doorknob, my fingers slipping as my vision blurs. “Open the fucking door! Jace, please! I need my meds! You don’t understand, I need them now!” My voice is desperate, cracking under the weight of my panic. My mind is a hurricane, my body vibrating with unbearable restlessness.

Marcellus Bonnie was shaking. Not the kind of shaking that came from cold. The kind that came from shock and from adrenaline and from the body's desperate attempt to process something the mind could not accept. She sat on the bathroom floor with her knees pulled to her chest and her arms wrapped around them and her eyes were wide and fixed on nothing. I could tell she was having a panic attack. I had been holding her for what felt like hours. The sirens had stopped. The shouting outside had faded. But she had not moved. She had not spoken. She had not done anything except breathe in short shallow gasps that sounded like they hurt.

The world would be better off. I get up off of my bed and walk to my door. I open the door and look out into the corridor. It is quiet. I walk across to the toilet open the door and quickly shut it behind me. I slowly approach the mirror. I stop and stare. Suddenly my heart starts racing, anxiety kicks in, I start to shake, my stomach feels like it’s doing somersaults and my mouth begins to twitch. I collapse onto the floor. I start to panic. Blood coming from my eyes and ears again. I knew what is happening so I let it happen.

Suddenly it felt like the tears had choked me and I forgot how to breathe properly. The tears clouded my vision, my hands started to shake uncontrollably, the tremors moved from my fingertips to all over my body, my head began spinning and I felt myself slip to the ground and then everything turned quiet and dark around me.

I clutch my head and an image of a big burly man runs to me in my head, but I’m covered in blood. “Little one.” I gasp and look around frantically. “Ana. What is it? Are you ok?” My chest heaves and my hands shake. I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe. “Shit. Ana, focus on me. Come on, deep breath in, and slowly out. You’re having a panic attack. Come on, breathe with me.” Zana has my face in her hands and I copy what she is doing and my heart begins to return to normal, but I’m still shaking.

My hands tremble horribly, and they won't seem to stop. Stop Ella, this is pathetic! No matter how I tell myself, my panic won't subside. Anxiety coursing through my bloodstream. I can't breathe, the air that I try to take in won't reach my lungs. I grip the sink, closing my blurry eyes. In my head, I count to ten. One, two,...seven,... ten. After, I open my eyes back up, my vision somewhat clearing. My hands are still trembling but that's not something I can control. I need to go home, I can't be here any longer. There's no way I'm risking that happening again and someone seeing it.

I could feel my spine shake like a pair of unwanted shackles as my stomach involuntarily contracted and left me doubled over in pain. I can’t be sure that this is an underlying side effect from my near death or just the entirety of my anxiety but there is no questioning that this all relates to my current state with Alan.

I'm pacing back and forth in my small, stuffy room, feeling the walls close in around me. I'm starting to go stir-crazy, and I can feel my anxiety rising. My breath is coming in short, shallow gasps, and I can't seem to calm down. I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my grip on reality, and I'm not sure how much longer I can take this.
