I didn't realize my hands were already shaking. "Mama..." I whispered. She immediately moved closer and gently rubbed my back. "Open it, anak." I took a deep breath. Then, very carefully, I opened the old envelope. Inside was a folded white paper. There was also a smaller envelope. And an old photograph. I immediately picked up the picture. A small smile appeared on my face. Papa. He looked much younger in the photograph. Standing beside him was a man I didn't recognize. Both of them were smiling while holding cups of coffee. The stranger even had one arm wrapped around Papa's shoulder.

°Amy’s POV° The next morning, the whole school buzzed about one thing—prom night. I sat at my desk, chin buried in my palm, while the chatter swirled around me like a whirlwind I didn’t want to get caught in. Everyone had something to say—who was going with who, what dresses they had ordered, which hotel afterparty was going to be the “real deal.” Gia, of course, wouldn’t shut up either. “Prom. A night of claiming, of bodies pressed close. Imagine what Jeremy’s hands would feel like on us—”

The rest of the walk through the food court I feel the other guys eyes on me the entire time, but I refuse to look at him. We finally make it to the boys and of course they are buying way too many games and accessories. They don't even have any suit bags with them, so they will have to come back on their own to buy one. Prom is next weekend so they don't have much time. They spot us and smile like little kids in a candy store, and it's hard to not smile back.

The amusing part is that they leave with one and return with another. Rogue is not permitted at the prom this year. Because there are only two girls who will most likely not attend the prom this year, and we cannot allow them to mingle with us. They are only allowed to go on a trip and have a competition or have a little fun. We can't accompany them as a couple. As in previous years, there will be a separate prom party for the rogue so most probably it is going to be the same this year as well.

“Oh, my God.” “What?” Noah asks. She slams her phone down in front of us. “Prom theme just dropped.” I glance down at the screen and roll my eyes at the swirling black-and-gold posters with dramatic font. “Westfield High presents Senior Prom: Midnight Garden,” Noah reads out. “How original,” he says dryly. “Shut up.” Maya rams her shoulder into his. “Look how pretty the decorations are.” Noah leans closer to me and whispers, “She knows that’s just the visual design, right?”

You see, I've heard that the promise rings come in couples so I bought one for each of us. We were supposed to put them on each other's fingers but I forgot." He finished with a sheepish look.

Only if-" Zach's brows furrowed. It was his way of showing that he was annoyed or not glad at all. "Tss! Only if? Do you mean there are conditions? What kind of promo is that?" "What would be the condition, miss?" I asked. "Only if you are a couple, and you'll let us take a picture of you while you kiss."

The prom night is going to be taking place four days from now and I want y'all to come prepared. Boys should try to come in with black suits, while the girls should come putting on a royal blue dress or a flaming red one. ”I have a strong feeling that this Liam is a good match for you” Ashton says soothingly and smiling at Celine. ”You guys going to prom together?” Aiden asks smiling. Seriously, what’s up with him? He’s actually nice to Celine. ”Yes, we are. And on a date on Tuesday” Celine blushes. ”That’s cool” Aiden replies and continues to eat his lunch. ”Is there like some theme to the prom?” I ask, cause I can’t remember anymore. ”There usually is, but we voted ’no theme’. Now everyone can dress as they want” Celine explains and finishes her pasta.

“Anna, there is a promnight invitation for you. You will come with your handsome guy, right?” I received a pink invitation card from Tiffany while exclaiming enthusiastically. The promnight party is a party that all students at Kirin High School look forward to. In this party everyone will wear their best clothes and one best couple will be crowned the king and queen of promnight. I hope this year I get it with Jihoo oppa. Moreover, this is also Jihoo oppa's last year here, I want to carve as many happy memories as possible with Jihoo oppa.
