“That’s the Source,” Sarah said quietly. She headed for one of the computer screens. “If we throw the black metal into the gold, the whole network collapses. We’ll shut down the CEO’s signal, but we’ll lose the magic for good. No more magic bread. No more miracles. Everything just...normal again.”
June glanced at her arm. The black lines had crept to her shoulder. She could feel the CEO’s thoughts now—cold, greedy, endless.
