We were all monsters now. Adam had been the first to embrace what we were-werewolves, creatures bound by the moon. He'd called it a blessing, a gift from the Moon Goddess Selene. Our grandmother had sacrificed herself to protect us, invoking the ancient powers of our ancestors. But for all her intentions, the result was something that couldn't be undone.

My heart pounded like it was about to explode from my chest. Callista chuckled and slung an arm around me. “It’s not a movie. These are real vampires and werewolves. Here at Eclipse Academy, we have five types of supernatural beings: Werewolves, Vampires, Incubi, Dragons, Ghouls, and Witches,” she said matter-of-factly. I shook my head. This couldn’t be real. Why the hell was I in a school full of monsters? “Please tell me this is an illusion,” I said, my voice trembling.

A monster? The moment we step onto the grounds, the smell hits. It's the smell of copper and rot and something disgusting. My stomach lurches. Kira swears under her breath. Isaiah's jaw tightens as the backup soldiers fan out, their boots silent on the snow, their weapons drawn. Then the chanting reaches us. It's loud enough to vibrate in my bones. My hand rests on my stomach, my palm flattening over my bump on instinct. 'Please,' I think desperately. 'Please be okay.‘

I kicked back and relished the show as Christopher and Sally unwrapped their surprise. When they finally got home, the looks on Chloe's and Howard's faces were priceless. It was only in that moment that he realized I had known all along, but by then, it was tragically too late. The apocalypse had arrived. Hordes of haunts had descended upon us, turning the world into a living nightmare in the blink of an eye. Someone was walking down the street when, without warning, their head suddenly came off. Before long, the haunts had devoured both the head and the body of the unlucky soul.

Electric lamps illuminated quiet walkways, while children laughed in distant courtyards, unaware of the monsters that ruled the world beyond their borders. To them. The apocalypse was a story. To those who governed this place. It was a memory they refused to repeat. At the heart of the settlement stood the Council Citadel. Its towering white walls overlooked the entire city, its architecture untouched by war. Marble columns rose toward a vaulted ceiling where intricate murals depicted humanity's rise, its fall, and the solemn vow to preserve what remained.

Psyche Flint reached the Marketplace Mall nearby Divonne Academy. Her stomach groaned as she felt hunger. Her gaze swept around to check if there are zombies or people hiding but didn't see anyone so she entered the marketplace. It was almost afternoon when the apocalypse started and now, it is past twelve o'clock on the afternoon, that's why there are many scattered vegetables and fruits on each stalls. Anyone could guess what have happened inside marketplace. Like, a strong earthquake shook the whole mall which damage the goods inside.

Some lose the skin on their faces, some shown their red-stained bones on their shoulders and neck and some had their bodies severely opened. She felt the bile on her stomach, wanting to vomit on the morbidity of everything. Except for the two women on their bloodied gowns, the growling hyenas, and the hunters, she was the last person standing, unharmed. She wanted to scream. No. If the apocalypse happened, she won't wish to be the last one to be spared. She won't wish to be the sole witness of every murder of everybody. The once noisy dome was replaced with eerie silence. She regarded the monsters in front of her. As if they spared her for their desert.

"I'm Heaven." "But you look...." He can't bring himself to finish the sentence. "She's never coming back." He mutters and u start to feel his hand fall from my face. I immediately place my hand on top of his to stop him from removing his hand from my face. Suddenly I just want to hold him, to soothe him and comfort him. He just lost his Aurora for a second time now and it's not easy, not even for a demon. I can see the tears shining in his eyes and I'm pretty sure that's exactly how my eyes look right now. I guess even monsters cry too. But looking at him right now I don't see a monster or a demon, I just see a wounded creature which just wants to reunite with the love of it's life.

James could see a group of unknown monsters densely packed together in the deepest part of the ancient battlefield and could even vaguely hear the monster’s roars. “I was right.” James took a deep breath. He came to the city with speculations, and the sight had proved him right. James asked solemnly, “What are the origins of these monsters?” The middle-aged man replied, “They are from beyond the Endlos. These monsters are being constantly manufactured, and wiping them out is impossible. The mastermind producing them has to be taken out. In the deepest part of the Tribulation World is Tribulation City, which exists to seal off this passage and block out these monsters.”

There were the usual ads for x-ray glasses and onion gum and joy buzzers and Charles Atlas, but one at the bottom caught my eye. SEA MONSTER PETS! HATCH THESE CREATURES IF YOU DARE! I’d seen ads for Sea Monkeys before, and Matt had told me they were a species of shrimp. But sea monsters? I read the fine print but the ad gave no details other than a legal-sounding paragraph about the company not being responsible for escaped creatures or any harm they inflicted. I looked at the cost, then jumped off the bed and grabbed my piggy bank from the bureau. I emptied the contents onto the bed and counted. I had enough money.
