I fear that we may all die of a fashion emergency instead of another drought or war.” I smile and try to hold in my snorts, as the carriage enters a foggy forest, and Dante continues to mock every noble from the Wailing Coast to the Soundless Seas. “Lady Dyteria gave birth again,” I say, trying my hardest to be modest. One must be modest, after all, to set an example for the future lords and ladies I shall preside over.

Hail curiously asked. Reyan looked at him. “A world, that is – '' he looked at Blue. Blue was taken aback, before he understood. “Her world also suffered an apocalypse?” he said. “Yes.” Reyan nodded in affirmation. Apocalypse. The end of the world. “It’s alright.” Kulv whispered to Blue as he comforted the other. “I am fine.” Blue said and smiled. He has already moved on from his past. Kulv sighed in relief after he saw that Blue really was fine. Then, he turned to Reyan. “What kind of apocalypse did the witch’s world go through?” he asked.

His grip on the ritual wavered. The dark symbols flickered wildly. Some shattered completely. The worst of the tremors began to ease. The purple-black flames started to die down, though the earth still groaned in protest and distant screams continued to echo through the night. The apocalypse had been halted — not purely by force, but because I had struck the one crack in his armored heart. Marcus let out a broken, agonized sob that seemed to come from the depths of his shattered soul. “She… she was everything…”

I lifted my head to see what happened to Apocalypse. To my surprise was there a big hole in the ceiling and lots of debris and rubble mixed with wooden beams. I got up and walked over to what was over of the ceiling. I heard some groans coming from under the debris. Apocalypse was barely alive and stuck under big stone pieces and wooden beams. “You have to do better and more than this to stop me, you pathetic woman.” She coughed and spitted a clot of blood.

“You can never rest assured, better go and check out.” Meanwhile... Apocalypse POV “Nicolette Come back to me I beg you I can’t live if you’re not by my side—NICOLETTE.” I widen my eyes and immediately see that I’m no longer on the war field...what the heck is wrong with me? My head is about to explode, and only so much I want to kill. “Mighty Apocalypse, I have orders to watch over you and help you with whatever you wish.” “Get lost.” I screamed. The eagle woman jerks backwards, stupid demons.

It had actually reached from America to the Atlantic! “What is tha…” *Woomp* The next minute the adorations of men turned into screams of horror as what seemed like the apocalypse descended right on earth, as soon as the lights touched earth it went on traveling, moving forward and devouring, anything it touched that wasn’t humanly crumbled up into dust and any living thing encountered turned into oblivion like they never existed. People screamed as they watched this insanity happen, who could ever believe that the apocalypse that would come on Earth would suddenly descend and eliminate all humans without warning?

I choked out, my fingers searching for the obsidian pendant. From the wreckage of the glass behind us, a low, subsonic growl began to build. It wasn’t the sound of a wounded man. It was the sound of the earth breaking open. A white light began to glow from beneath the shards, growing brighter and hotter until the very air began to sing with the frequency of the stars. The Apex was rising, and this time, he wasn’t bringing mercy. He was bringing the end of the Monet line.

Then static slammed down. Apollo roared. The sound shattered what remained of the windows. Glass exploded outward into the dark beyond, raining over the outer ledge like fallen stars rejected from Heaven. Far below, something screamed in the courtyards. The mountain answered with a deep, groaning shift. Somewhere in the palace, bells began ringing of their own accord, not alarm bells, not war bells, but old warning chimes embedded in the walls before Apollo’s reign, singing because the Devil’s grief had begun to look too much like apocalypse.

] The mechanical voice rang in my ears. At the same second, the power grid died. The internet cut out. Lights in the distance blinked off one by one. It felt like someone hit pause on the world. Even the rustle of leaves sounded sharp. I eased up to the booth window and looked out. Inside my old apartment stood three figures—Alan, Bella, and Dylan. Of course they'd teamed up. A loudspeaker slid out the window. Alan's voice blasted across the complex. "Everyone, the apocalypse has started. I know you're looking for protection. I've got Caucasian Shepherds, a lion, and crocodiles. Any one of them can handle zombies. If you don't want to die, come join me. However..."
