A massive meteorite had fallen on Earth and was now sitting on the peak of a mountain, transmitting its destructive radiation down through the roots of the trees and contaminating all nearby water sources on Earth. The apocalypse had happened because of this meteorite. Octoria, one of the major countries, had launched missiles at it, intending to shatter the meteorite before it entered the Earth's stratosphere. However, they hadn't known then that the meteorite would turn out to be so hard and dense.

“What field?” His face went white. “The one holding tectonic plates stable.” The ground rumbled violently. Across the planet, fault lines awakened. Volcanoes trembled. Oceans pulled unnaturally from their shores. Elias pulled her into him. “You have to choose,” he said desperately. Her eyes streamed tears of red light. “I already did.” The world split with a sound like the sky tearing open. And in that impossible instant, every screen on Earth flashed a final message.
