Ansel may have slackened his hands at his side, but the curling of his fingers to a fist is unmistakable. “Too bad you’re not in the dungeons, Alpha.” Apollo pointed his chin all the way to the south of the pack’s territory, as if he could see and sniff Alpha Alain all the way from here. “You should’ve been there when we fucked your Slaves and Omegas one by one.” Another snickering laugh rumbled from the two. There was only the howling wind around them. Even with the torches warming the air, the nightly wind being close to the Verdean Forest did not balk down.

Alejandro smirks. The words feel like a punch to the gut. I know that about Dad. I’ve been his test subject for years… I can hear Charlotte’s heart thud before she moves closer to me, her eyes filled with sadness as she wraps her arms around one of mine.
