Mated To A Human

Mated To A Human

My parents are practical people, and my siblings would only make a joke of it. I set my glass on my nightstand and then lay across my bed on my back. Although no candle is burning, there's a perpetual smell in the air — maple, pumpkin, sandalwood — melted into the walls to soothe me but now burning my nose. I lift to open the window but pause. An open window is a way in, a crack for the shadow to pour through. I made it into the house okay, but what if it's still out in the woods? Who's to say the beast disappears in the daylight?

Offered to the Triplet Alphas

Offered to the Triplet Alphas

A soft smile made its way across my lips as I approached the picture window, its panes slightly ajar, allowing the gentle breeze to drift into the room. “Wow~” I smiled at the view. I slid the curtains even further, and that’s when I discovered where the breeze carried the scent of jasmine. Smile faltered from my face as I peered at the two flower pots placed beside the window. Another breeze rushed into the room, fluttering the freshly bloomed jasmine flowers and the vibrant forget-me-nots placed right next to them. I knit my brows, trying to comprehend how finding those flowers in Asher’s bedroom made me feel when I heard the door click open and I swiftly turned around, drawing back the cu

Updates are really slow. I couldn’t remember story line completely and had to go back and read several chapters to get back up to speed. Please update regularly. It’s a really good story and losing the audience due to delayed updates is a shame.

Like other comments, loved the storyline and characters BUT updates are extremely slow. So slow that I had to go back and reread the last couple of chapters before reading new material. Won’t continue story if next update takes so long.

Ashmoor Unseen Wolf

Ashmoor Unseen Wolf

His room. The window was cracked open, just like always. The polished gold rods beneath it gleamed like something out of a fairytale, elegant, useless, and exactly what I needed, fancy and utterly impractical for security. But perfect for girls in love. I gripped them tight, ignoring the sting in my palms as I climbed. My knees scraped against brick, the sky yawning wide above me, starless and spinning. I smiled. Almost there. But when I peered into his window, my smile died.

A Veil of Ash and Glass

A Veil of Ash and Glass

The magic slammed against her teeth like it wanted out through her mouth as much as through the cracked windows. Hols. Her vision blurred. A pulse rolled through the penthouse. The remaining windows rattled. Somewhere, another pane cracked. The chandelier dropped half an inch and stuttered to a stop, as if held by an invisible hand. Then, slowly, the wave receded. Not back into her. Away. Like something tugged. Like the thing in the glass had been disappointed but not denied. Althea sagged. Her hands hit the floor. Glass dug in.

Thread of Glass

Thread of Glass

He crossed the distance between the cars in eight long steps. Zoya’s window slid down. She looked up at him, taking in whatever was raw and exposed in his face right now. She didn't look surprised. She just looked like a woman who had been expecting this exact collision and had decided not to run from it. Raina opened her door before he even reached the handle. She stepped out onto the damp asphalt, still shivering, her wool coat pulled tight against her chest. Her lower lip was doing that small, frantic thing it always did when she was trying hard not to cry.

The Lonely God

The Lonely God

Another door sits at the end of the room and he leads me to it. As I step through the door, I find myself in a bedroom. There’s a huge window sitting at the end of the room. I am instantly drawn to it. As I look outside it, I am surprised. It looks different outside from here. The sky is clear and there are leaves on the trees outside. Some birds fly by the window as the sun shines lazily in the sky. The snow is glistering in the sunlight. The whole scenery looks different. It looks like a different place than what I have actually seen outside.

The Witch's Window

The Witch's Window

As Dahlia storms into the room, she screams, “How the hell have you been talking to people?” I laugh, “Nobody has been here. I talk to people in my sleep. Why?” She looks out the window and stops in her tracks. She is captivated by whatever memory she is seeing now. I look at all my siblings, and they are slightly smiling at me, knowing what the window is doing. I sit in my spot, on the floor, and wait as she continues looking out that window. Taylor, who is seated on the floor right next to the window, is watching Dahlia intently. Taylor looks at me, holds a finger to her eye and traces a line down her cheek to tell me that she is crying. I nod in understanding.

The Cursed Alpha and his little Witch

The Cursed Alpha and his little Witch

Atlas said, both he and Aria staring at me. They both stared at me like I was overthinking things and then I thought that maybe I was. Nodding my head at them, I gave the window one last look before we started running once more. He was right. Greta didn't have the power to do that, I was just overthinking things. We had just ran for a few minutes when we came across the window once more, making me stop in my tracks. “It's still here Atlas,” I cried as I stared at the window in horror.

Alpha's Regret, Begging My Convict Luna Back

Alpha's Regret, Begging My Convict Luna Back

Aria’s POV Morning light crept through the curtains, warm but sharp, like golden claws brushing against my eyelids. A cool breeze drifted into the room, carrying the earthy scent of pine and the faint musk of wolves patrolling somewhere beyond the villa grounds. I groaned softly and lifted a hand to rub my temples. A dull throb pulsed behind my eyes. It was leftover stress from last night’s mess with Nathan. Then it struck me. The window… Right. I’d been so upset that I hadn’t even bothered closing it.

Omega's Curse: Desired by the beast who shouldn't want me

Hermosa's POV I leaned my head against the cool glass of the window, watching the trees blur into a dark smudge against the horizon. My arm throbbed where the needle had pierced me—a dull reminder of the life I’d just drained out of myself for people who looked at me like a meal.
