Pursing her lips, Summer did another search. For a few moments, her eyes moved nimbly, sweeping the screen of her phone. "Sparrows are usually very shy birds. ' Arina' I yelled after her, but as she descended, I knew I had to follow her. "Bryan" I yelled waving him over to me and gesturing to follow Arina. She called out into the trees. Ruffling of feathers answered her from somewhere above. Aria craned her neck to look up. The only being was a large, brown, spotted owl staring at her with round golden eyes. It spread its broad wings and floated down to a lower branch. “Why?” The owl asked again. “What?” Aria asked, confused. He wasn’t referring to the rabbit, was he? “Kill.” The owl turned his head upside down and blinked. “I hunger.” She said slowly, then wondered how the bird could understand her… and she him? Never before had she talked with another creature using voices. Except Morgan, of course. And she still hadn’t figured that one out.

I grinned from ear to ear as I watched him place the little one down with its paddling brothers and sisters. As promised, Jesse did give me a grand tour. He seemed to know everything about the place, and I enjoyed our walk around as he explained things to me.
