Dangerous Pleasures

Dangerous Pleasures

Austin said, "No need for us both to get soaked." "You think I can't handle a little wet?" Christine asked with a smirk. "Race you!" she shouted and took off. Austin could barely see his mother through the sheets of water. He leaned into the cart, shoved it forward, and careened after her. The rain was even worse than it looked. Deep puddles were scattered across the lot like minefields. By the time Austin splashed his way to the Civic, he was soaked through. He found his mother standing by the car, laughing. Austin started to laugh, too. This was so silly.

Broken Bonds: Beyond Destiny

Broken Bonds: Beyond Destiny

Bright The car engine roared beneath the furious rain. We drove carefully down the highway as darkness settled. We had an escort on our way home, cars in the distance, wolves from our pack, alert and watchful, scanning every street. We weren’t taking any chances after everything that had happened. We had to be cautious. We’d underestimated Dante once. We couldn’t afford to do it again.

Caution to the wind

Caution to the wind

Benji leaned forward, his eyes sparkling as he watched the race. "Like I said, Arte is a mystery. But one thing I do know is that racing is something just for her that she picked herself. Don't get me wrong, she likes the other stuff. But racing is more of a passion. The pure bliss on her face when she removes her helmet is refreshing to see" I scoffed inwardly, playfully. My mind had conjured a joke: 'There are other expressions she can make?'

Reclaimed by My Alpha

Reclaimed by My Alpha(Reclaimed by My Ruthless Alpha)

The storm was worse than I expected. I turned on the wipers and leaned forward, squinting through the downpour. The road was getting harder to see. The rain was coming down so hard it was like driving through a waterfall. Suddenly, something jumped out up ahead. A raccoon. It skittered across the road, a dark shape moving through the rain. I shouldn’t have hit the brakes, but my foot slammed down before I could think. The car fishtailed, the wheels skimming above the layer of water on the road. Before I could regain control, I spun out. The wheel jerked in my hands, and I spun three times, gasping, before I came skidding off the side of the road.

Obsidian Eyes
I really enjoy this novel and hope to see more, as it’s been 2 months. I miss the original cover and how it reflected the FL’s strength and leadership. The new cover suggests a very different kind of story. Please bring back original cover, or hope future artwork better reflects the story.

I love this story! 594 chapters in and I still find myself captivated by it. The characters, the world building and the evolving nature of everything is so fascinating. I’d love to see what happens next, and I really hope this continues!

A Forbidden Night With The Enemy

A Forbidden Night With The Enemy

Just perfect. I squeezed under the small awning of a closed bookstore, shivering and watching the rain turn the street into a river of reflected lights. Taxis sped past, ignoring my desperate waves. Stranded, wet, and miserable, I saw headlights cut through the gray, slowing as they got closer. A sleek black sedan—definitely expensive—glided to a stop beside me. I froze in the rain, struggling to see, but my heart raced despite my efforts to stay calm.

The Quarterback's Roommate

The Quarterback's Roommate

What if Bonus Chapter 5 What If They Met at a Bookstore During a Rainstorm? Eli POV The rain came down in sheets, hammering the big windows of the independent bookstore like it wanted to drown the entire city. I’d ducked inside just as the sky opened, hair already soaked, hoodie clinging to my skin, silver nail polish chipped and glossy from the wet. My backpack was heavy with new finds—two novels I’d been hunting for weeks and a slim volume of poetry that had caught my eye. I stood near the fiction shelves, dripping quietly onto the hardwood floor, flipping through pages while the storm raged outside.

Ride Me, Don’t Love Me

Ride Me, Don’t Love Me

Time to remind Zane exactly who he was racing against. ****************** The ride to the race track felt strangely calm. Raina sat behind me, her arms wrapped tightly around my waist, and every now and then I'd feel her squeeze me a little harder. She was nervous. I wasn't. If anything, I was excited. By the time we pulled into the racing grounds, the place was already overflowing with people. Huge banners stretched across the entrance. Rows of motorcycles lined the paddock. Media crews hurried from one racer to another with cameras and microphones, reporters speaking excitedly into their headsets.

The Racer’s Downfall

The Racer’s Downfall

Anyone who could afford racing in the first place was never truly ordinary. It was just that the organizer had chosen to cling to Jasper instead. I didn’t want a trophy from a tainted competition like this, anyway. I let out a quiet laugh, tossed my cigarette away, and answered Grayson’s call. Before he could even comfort me, I spoke first. “I’m withdrawing from the race this time. And I’m switching to a new car.” The words had barely left my mouth when someone suddenly rushed in through the doorway and threw their arms tightly around me before Grayson could react.

The Secret He Left Behind

The Secret He Left Behind

she replied, adjusting the umbrella in her hand. He smiled faintly. “Seems I can’t stay away from this place.” Aria spotted her from across the room and came running. “Mommy! Mr. Blackwood helped us make rain paintings!” “Rain paintings?” Elena asked, crouching to her daughter’s level. Aria nodded, holding up a dripping sheet of paper. Streaks of watercolor bled into one another — blues, greens, yellows. “See? The rain helps mix the colors. Mr. Blackwood said sometimes messes make beautiful things.”

The Billionaire's Biggest Regret

The Billionaire's Biggest Regret

Within minutes, visibility became poor. I immediately thought of Tamara. She had an eye condition that made it difficult for her to see clearly in the dark, and with the rain making everything worse, I knew it was dangerous for her to keep driving. I called her and begged her to pull over. I told her we should stop the race and continue another day when the weather was better. She ignored me. Moments later, the worst happened. Her car slammed into the back of David's car, sending his vehicle crashing straight into a tree.
