Erden curses, pressing his back against the wall and tilts his head back. "I'm so sorry." Tamarra mutters in sobs. Her voice sounds like an echo in my head. I try hard not to cry my heart out right now. I plop down on a chair and hold my exploding head in my hands. I feel a supportive hand rest on shoulder. I look up and see Azure smiling at me. "He is going to be fine, I'm sure." I nod, trying to believe in his words. Azure takes a seat by my side and right now, I just need a shoulder to cry. Gulping the lump of jitter climbing up my throat, I rest my head on his shoulder and close my eyes tightly.

There was a smile in his voice and Arthur knew what he meant. "I am not that stupid," Arthur muttered and everyone started to laugh. "I don't understand," Habath wondered. "She is a human, how do you even?" "She is a fighter, Habath," Arthur spoke with a heavy exhale. "She defeated Tony, yes... but she has been missing ever since. Maybe she is scared," Habath wondered out loud. An involuntary growl escaped Arthur's lips and Habath looked taken aback. And not just him, the entire crew was taken aback!

Lyra’s POV. I wiggled around the chair trying to get off the ropes that bound me with the chair, anger and fear cursing through me as I stared at Xavier's dark deep orbs that exuded venom and the smug smile that spread against his lips. "Why are you doing this, Xavier?" I spat, firing my words at him like bullets. His smile grew wider. "You're just a pawn in a bigger game, Lyra. This is about Sage. Don’t worry princess, I may or may not hurt, so I won’t make any promises”

Looking at my pack who are still fighting and holding their own against the weapons of the guards. My father begins to shift, his bones popping as they dislocate and rearrange themselves, and I find myself staring into the swirling cobalt eyes of Arthur. He’s the polar opposite of David, he’s evil, sadistic and a little crazy. A perfect soul matched to my father. He lunges forwards to attack; I shift my weight onto my heals and twist as I use his trajectory against him and throw him into a nearby tree.

"But it's alright. You won’t get sanctioned. We can cover it up.” Arthur said nothing, watching as Harden’s smirk deepened. “Alberto was an idiot," he continued. "You did me a favor.” He let out a dry chuckle before taking another sip of his drink. But then, his expression shifted, curiosity replacing amusement. "Why are you here, Arthur?" His tone became sharper, his body slightly more rigid. “Thought about what you would give?" A slow, knowing smile crept onto his lips. Arthur didn’t blink. “I’m here to claim the Scorpio Pack.”

He growled softly, as if begging me to come to him. I was feeling unsure whether to tell him right away and let him inside when I saw Arthur, shifting mid-leap. His bones snapped as he reformed with brutal speed. He was back shortly, aiming at Xavion. His skin tore into gray fur as his deadly claws gleamed under the moonlight. A snarl rippled from his throat, shaking the forest. “How dare you!” Arthur roared. “You have the guts to just show up and stare at her like this!”

I couldn’t shift because I was stuck. Alpha Leonardo didn’t protest. He shifted into his human form, standing bare before everyone. The blood of the men he has killed dripped through his body. Raising his hands in surrender, “Now, let go of her, Vogar.” His eyes narrowed. Even in his human form, he still looked like a predator. “Funny how you trust me, Brother.” Vogar squeezed my neck hard. “She is not worthy of a man like you. She has to….” His body suddenly vibrated behind me as he groaned in pain.

“What do you mean? Who is watching?” “Agatha,” her mother interjected, her expression turning grave. “The High Priestess Agatha. She has been alive for over a thousand years, fueled by dark magic and a thirst for power. She senses your potential and will come for you. You must be cautious.” “But I want to fight back!” Aqua exclaimed, desperation threading through her words. “I don’t want to hide anymore. I need to know how to harness my powers.”

Laryn stood up and wiped the blood from his face. "He's scrappy," he said to the other two dragons. I was slower to get up this time, but finally managed to gain my feet. "You next," I nodded to Sarn. "Hell no," he said. "I don't look good in red; that's Bastian's color." He gave me an ear to ear grin and stepped forward with his hand out. "I'm Sarn. What's your name?" I looked from his hand to the grin on his face. I took his offered hand and we shook. "I'm Tahr, of the royal silver dynasty."

I screamed in shock, "Gurion!" "Do you know who the parents of this little hatchling are?" the elder healer asked. "Gurion... he is Ari's little hatchling," Dillon answered as he approached Gurion gently. Lowell, Acwulf, and the elder healer were stunned. They were speechless, and they seemed not to know how to respond. Who wouldn’t be shocked to know that a minor like me had a hatchling who was barely four years old? What's more, I haven't even come of age yet.
