There was a sound of soft tearing from the clothes she was wearing. Within seconds all of Ash's clothes were torn apart. His body enlarged – changing to its original form. A wolf in gray hair. With his jaw stiffened he bared his sharp fangs as he darted towards Damien. The two of them met in the air, attacking each other, and what sounded next was only the sound of tears as well as groans from the two of them.

I growled in her general direction as Ash tried to lock me into an armbar. I threw Ash off and he almost collided with Sage but a blurr darted around her and a figure got between them. It was Marcus , who as a vampire and from experience I knew it was like impacting a marble column. Ash bounced off the vampire and into the desk chairs knocking them flying and he was now completely winded. I pounced grabbing Ash in a solid head lock now and wetting my finger I began to give him wet Willie's which I knew he hated. "Stop it you barbarian." Ash yelled. His body shook and I knew he was so disgusted he was going to shift.

Black and silver fur tangled in violence, muscle meeting muscle in a battle that had been written in their blood long before this night. Julian was faster. Asher was stronger. He growled softly, as if begging me to come to him. I was feeling unsure whether to tell him right away and let him inside when I saw Arthur, shifting mid-leap. His bones snapped as he reformed with brutal speed. He was back shortly, aiming at Xavion. His skin tore into gray fur as his deadly claws gleamed under the moonlight. A snarl rippled from his throat, shaking the forest. “How dare you!” Arthur roared. “You have the guts to just show up and stare at her like this!”

Darren’s voice shouted, but it was drowned by the chaos. The rogue lunged again, claws slashing. I blocked with my staff, but the force sent me sprawling, pain exploding in my ribs. I coughed, blood filling my mouth. My body screamed for me to stay down. But I pushed up, vision spinning, staff trembling in my hands. “Come on,” I growled hoarsely. “I’m not done.” The rogue snarled, preparing to strike again— And then Damien’s massive Ash wolf form crashed into it, tearing it apart with brutal efficiency. Blood sprayed, the rogue falling lifeless at his feet.

He was in full wolf form, moving with precision, taking down a hybrid mid-leap. I followed his warning, pivoting just in time to block another strike. The claws raked my side, ripping fur and skin, pain flaring hot. “Shit,” I growled, twisting to bite back. My teeth sank into the rogue’s neck, snapping it in one motion. Then I saw her.

I get a mouthful of Ash's fur as we clash. Ash pulls out of my grip but before he can step away I attack again. We land in a head, unable to find where the ground starts and the wolf ends, unable to see anything but snow and fur, teeth and claws. Ash's teeth clamp down on my shoulder and I turn to snap at him but he releases me, avoiding my grip. He leaps forward again, pulling me back into the snow.

On the right flank, chaos erupted. A massive black wolf, Ashren, burst from the bushes. He hit the Hounds with the force of a freight train. He didn't bother shifting fully; he was a blur of fur and claws. He tore the rifle from one Hound's hands and tossed him aside. "Clear!" I shouted. Drax stood up from behind the log. He looked pale, sweating profusely, but he managed a grin. "Took you long enough," Drax grunted. "I was about to get bored."
