Every time I was just about to grab it, they threw it somewhere else. My whole body shook. My heart was in my throat. I don't know how long passed before Hudson and Stella finally showed up. Hudson had a smile in his eyes. Stella looked at him with nothing but indulgence. "You put on quite a show."

Freya was too sick to defend herself and the other girls had barely made it to the tree-line before being apprehended by more soldiers in combat fatigues. She had no time to react though because Omar was suddenly charging at the other male, jaws snapping as he aimed for Lucas' shin. Lucas was faster despite being in his human form but his eyes flashed amber as he darted out of the way with ease and grace. Omar was quick to recover though, twisting in a flash to lunge again. This time he did connect with Lucas but the male was there to use Omar's momentum against him, the giant wolf's body slamming into the snow with a thud.

Ashur said leading them into the woods. As soon as he hit the tree line. He jumped and shifted standing there waiting for the other 2. They shifted and joined him and the three started running toward the river. Ashur was trailing never taking his eyes off the 2 wolves, when suddenly he was hit from the side. I closed my eyes for a second, and when they reopened, my hands morphed slowly—fur and claws replacing my fingers. “A partial shift,” he muttered. I nodded sharply. “Let’s get to work.” They lunged at us. I grabbed the first one after skillfully dodging another’s claws and, without hesitation, drove my claws straight through his chest. He dissolved into ashes instantly. Damon and I kept at it for several minutes. I had a few scratches over my body, but that wasn’t the worst part. The fog. I could see it creeping toward us now. “We’re fucked!” Damon yelled as he snapped the neck of the man he held.

The pair landed on either side of the vehicle and watched closely as the man in the car stumbled out. "No!" Conrad shouted, his arms already beginning to bulge. "It's not possible! I killed you!" Piper sensed the coming transformation. Fury took over. Her tail lashed out like a whip and slashed him across the chest, sending him crashing into a large rock fifty feet away. He didn't move. The scent of blood reached her nostrils, and she hissed, satisfied by it.

Rufus, sensing my aggression, let out a low growl. The clash was swift and brutal. I fought with the ferocity of a cornered beast, channeling my power into each strike. Lightning danced from my fingertips, momentarily stunning some of the guards. Rufus, a blur of brown fur and razor-sharp claws, ripped through the ranks with surprising agility. Rufus did his best to help but when the shaman under the Alpha Darach struck back he couldn't fight on.

And even when they hadn't realized that fact, several monsters that had pulled out giant claws from their backs were approaching. “Grrr! RAWR!” “Your Highness!” Ashaf failed to carry out his main task of bringing Marya to safety, and instead, he swings his sword toward the monster that nearly pounced on Marya. "Die, you monsters!" Slash! “Huff… huff! On your left!” Marya shouted to Ashaf. Slash! Spurs! The blood splatter of the monsters that reek of corpses's smell covered Ashaf's face. The man immediately wiped his eye area from the splash.

"You will see." With claws slashing across the creature's torso, Ash attacked once more. The thing responded this time. Ash was thrown across the room as if he were weightless, as it caught him in mid-strike. He struck the wall across from him with such force that the stone cracked. Clara let out a scream. With blood seeping from a cut over his eye, Ash forced himself to stand. His body shook from the strain of maintaining his form, and he breathed heavily. "Clara. "Run."
