The last time I ignored the ringing, now it started ringing again, and I ignored it again, then the landline which was almost dead on my desk started throwing its magic in the name of its blasting sound. I think this one I can pick, as it is on my desk, so it belongs to me and nobody else's. I picked it up with my almost dried voice, "Hi this is Ashely Brooke," All I heard was a silence, a pin drop silence, the silence that could slice a storm with its invading voice, Then I heard a voice clearing his throat," why were you not picking up the phone? Savory gasped when Ash showed her my phone screen. Another fine man? Maybe that's even better. I sipped out of my milkshake. The more I drink, the dizzier I get. "Let me see." "You don't need to ask, girl." Ash said. "Let me match with him real quick!" She said fangirling whoever that is. That made me chuckle. "Oh my God, he matched back!" Ash screamed. Asher. She exhaled slowly, her lips curving into a tight smile. "Leave," she ordered Marcus in a low voice, gesturing for him to step out of the room. After saying goodbye to Vicki, I was left alone, carrying the bag with my black suit of armor, ready to head home. But as I reached out to flag down a taxi, my phone buzzed in my hand. “Got it! I'll call you first thing once I reach, my love.” She sensed him smile at the word of endearment, an action that rubbed off on her. “I love you.” He told her and kissed her through the phone. The call ended with both smiling at themselves, so lost and enamored. The roads were free. With such less traffic, Ashley arrived at the house in good time. She parked her car and got into the house. A sudden feeling of nostalgia hit her. It has been a while since she's visited and didn't realize she missed this house.

My phone began to vibrate in my hand and I looked down to see a call from Ashley. We haven't spoken since Paris so it caught me off guard. My hands still shake from my encounter earlier and all I thought about was getting off the plane and talking to Calla and laying down to sleep. "Hello?" She said. "Hi.. Ashely?" I stuttered. I languidly moved my legs in the clear blue pool water, leaning back against my arm on the edge of the pool. “I’m still trying to decide.” I said softly, my eyes casually following Chase as he ran through the artificial lawn, happily basking in the cool, late afternoon breeze.
