Helen eyed Ashley, impressed by the challenge in her eyes. “Listen Ashley, if that's even your name… I'm not your enemy. We are not in a direct relationship here. There's nothing linking us to that sick old bastard… We both have a fire inside us. The unwillingness to yield to anyone. I've got to admit, I like you. And I think we could do great things working together.” Helen offered. She was beginning to see Ashley as an ally. Or maybe this was just a manipulative approach. Ashley smiled. “You’re right. I agree with you shoving those ideas up your ass.”

They'd talked over the phone, when Ash was about twelve years old, and since then, Ash hadn't managed to get a hold himself again. But just then, Ash smelled the unmistakable, weird smell of a Alpha, and for a single second, he thought that kid was somehow here, but of course, he wasn't, because when Ash hastily looked up, he saw through the tears swimming in his eyes the bane of his existence crouched down, his hand on the slide above as he peered down at Ash, his tail wagging swiftly behind him.

Elizabeth POV I quickly drop the Alpha to the ground as Ashley bounds out of the hall and jumps into the mix of destroying rogues. I can see many running away, but those within our range are being destroyed as we encounter them. Most are in awe that they are seeing a silver wolf, much less that they are being killed at her hands. I see a couple rogues attacking one of my warriors. Ashley races over and rips one off her, ripping their head completely off. She then continues her attack helping warriors who have become injured during their fights.

When the smallest of the creature approached them, Ashley took her silver dagger and planted them in the ground followed by her golden dagger and her serrated knives at closer intervals. Alpha or not, there were rules and he just broke the second most important rule. It just sucked that the girl he stuck his neck out for her was nothing but a sore pain in the ass.

Nothing had prepared me for what waited on the lawn. Ash tore across the yard with his arms out like a tiny plane with no brakes. Clutched to his chest, a calico cat looked resigned to the fate of being loved by a toddler. Its fur had gone from poofy to flattened. “ASH!” I yelled, out of breath. He stopped mid-roll and hugged the cat like it was the last treasure on earth. “Mommy!” he shouted. “Look! His name is Spaghetti!” I blinked once. Twice. “What?”

"Hedwig, come here. Stop running around!" "Ash wants to catch me. She is so little! She runs so slowly!" Hedwig turned back. She shouted at Ash, "Come on! Come and catch me! You can't catch me!" Ash was having fun, and she ran a little faster. However, she tripped on the carpet and fell. She was a tough girl. She picked herself up at once and continued to giggle, treating the fall as something fun. Howard looked at the cute Ash, and his face was filled with gentleness.
