Novel & Cerita Assassination Note

Damaria I’m about to sip my tea when a certain red dagger got stuck at the pillar on my balcony, and there’s a note attached to it. I went up from my chair and went to the dagger, then I took the note tied to the dagger's handle. The prey has been caught; news will probably reach you soon though I smiled as I read the note, then I lit the paper, and I threw it at the bodies of the assassins that were sent to me last night, Two birds with one stone.

I looked down at the note, my hands trembling as I read the words written in familiar handwriting: “Kill her before he comes back.” The handwriting was identical to the threatening notes I’d received before. The same person who’d been watching me, who’d sent me those warnings, had also ordered my assassination. “This is the same handwriting,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper. “From the notes I got before.” Aiden’s expression darkened. “You got threatening notes? When? Why didn’t you tell anyone?” “I thought I was being paranoid,” I admitted. “I didn’t have proof, and with everything else happening with the elders…”

“I needed an alibi and a way out of the business scene for good. That doesn’t count. From now on, all my assassinations will be done discreetly.” The seriousness didn’t last long when Nash started chortling at the “d” word. Discreet it is. “Well, do your best. Let’s see how discreet you can be in a dress.” I groaned. Trust Rush and Ignacio not to spoil my plans. Nash would never let me live it down after I’ve done it. I need to be careful not to have my pictures taken wearing one or Nash will pin it up to the wall proudly like a father who received his daughter’s first hand-drawn portrait.

I thought I could handle this on my own, thought I could bring Zephyr back without assistance because I’m her mate, but it's not enough. “Did you see the person? Did you see the assassin?” Avani snarls. I look at him, knowing this will hurt him nearly as much as it hurts me. “It’s Zephyr, Avani. She’s the assassin.” He falls back on his butt. “What? Are you sure?” he asks. I raise an eyebrow at him. “Why would she do this? Why would she kill these shifters?” Cedric asks. “They got to her,” Avani says as realization dawns on him and he looks at me. He and I have worked together long enough. We understand each other without words.

The deep blue and silver fabric felt like it had been made for exactly this kind of night. Gemma came to help me get dressed and told me stories about the last bonding ceremony she attended. I was grateful for the distraction. I’d been alone in the room for exactly four minutes before I found a folded note, slipped under the door. It had no name or signature. I opened it and read aloud: "The ceremony is the perfect place for an assassination.” I stared at it for a while. Then I looked at the door. And the room, which had felt safe a moment ago, suddenly felt like anything but.

Immediately he was done , he picked up the note she had left him again and reread it's content. He found the note quiet amusing, and maybe, just maybe, she's an interesting person too . He kept on staring at the paper trying to get his mind off what happened today atleast for just tonight but he just couldn't help it , his mind wandered back to the moment he had that assassin right in his hands but he blew it of. He looked around for his phone and found it at the other side of the bed , he slowly reached for it and turned it on, the first message that came was from Nathan.

“The mastermind got everything ready for us. You don’t have any choice.” “Okay.” Olympias nodded and asked Goswin, “Are you sure?” “That assassin confessed in the early hours of this morning,” Goswin replied. “Someone secretly recorded Master Ansel’s and his accomplices’ conversation in his study yesterday. They were plotting how to assassinate you after they returned yesterday.”

Conrad glared across the table at his brother. “What did the note say?” Alfred snapped bringing the conversation back to what was important. Dimitris shrugged. “You didn’t read it?” Mani scoffed. “I didn’t say that.” Was I mistaken or was there some kind of bad blood between everyone at the table? The hostility was palpable, even more so than usual. “So what did it say then?” Mani grumbled then looked over to me, “Maybe the fucking ward’s assassin friends have been killed.” “Well that was hardly subtle.” Conrad laughed, “But seriously, What did the note say?”

I could not help but shake my head at his actions. He was behaving like a manic right now and I could not help but laugh. Suddenly the caption on the screen television changed and I couldn't help but shiver slightly when I read it. "The assassin strikes again leaving one of the executives Simon Carols dead and some other casualties." I could not help but shiver slightly after reading the caption as I watched the TV. Suddenly the scene that was shown next was two assassins in masks flashing by.

“Hush, child. Don’t speak. Focus on your breathing.” We sat in the dining for a few minutes until I felt better. I took a few sips of water and spoke, “Mom, the killer is B. This note,” I tapped my finger on the wet paper; “it’s written in skip code. Dr. Celina knew that her time has come, so she left a note which the killer wouldn’t find suspicious. When you first read it, it points to me as her killer, but there was a Morse B at the end and then the skip code will make sense.” I drank more of the water when I coughed. She took the paper and placed it in a zip lock bag. I lent her my glasses and her eyes widened as she read the note. “This note leads to my killer who is a student from AMU.
