I captured every moment from last night's cell — and every moment from the wolfsbane punishment before it — stored them in full, and left them as a parting gift for Cain. I took one last look at the front gates of the Ashford Pack house, turned around, and set out on the road back to Kingsley Pack. At the same moment, those recorded images sent shockwaves through every pack that saw them.

Fine. “Theo?” Atlas’s voice called after me as I stopped right in the middle of the street, turning back to see him holding a shirt between his arms. “He asked me to give this to you,” Atlas spoke, passing the shirt to me just then. Did it matter? I’d stormed out shirtless. Fuck… I ripped the shirt off Atlas’s clutch. The icy wind blew harshly against my skin. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb you both. Seems you had something serious going on. I… I see. I don’t know, man, just don’t want this fight to be my fault or some shit,” Atlas explained honestly.

Gods I'm going crazy. I watched Atlas go back to looking for a shirt. I just awkwardly stood there, fixed to my spot. "It's a double XL" Atlas said, making me look up at him. He looked up from what he was doing and met my eyes. "My size" I nodded and stumbled across the room, trying to find a shirt for him and also ignore the immense awkwardness that was blanketing the entire room. Oh goddess...

Iris leaned forward slightly now, resting her forearms on the desk. “Did they see you?” Atlas shook her head again. “I was not inside,” she said. “I was in the hallway.” Of course she was. Atlas did not go where she was not supposed to. She did not need to. She saw enough from the edges. “Did they say what they were building?” Iris asked. “No.” “Did you hear anything specific?” Atlas’s lips pressed together for a second. Then she shook her head. “No words,” she said. “Just how it felt.”

_Heyley’s POV_ I screamed when I saw Atlas’ lifeless body hit the floor. Greta moved away from him, watching me with a mocking smile on her face. She smiled triumphantly at me, to her she won the battle. I immediately ran to his side, shaking his body. He couldn't just leave me that way. There was no way Atlas would just leave me. “Atlas, please. Don't close your eyes,” I shook him, trying to keep him from losing consciousness but it was too late.

“Sir?” But Atlas only continued to stare past her instead of continuing his rapid-fire instructions. “What is that?” he demanded sharply, eyes boring into Jia as she shifted uncomfortably behind the other woman’s back. His icy gaze raked her from head to toe, taking in her dramatic change of appearance.

She cocked her head to the side in a move I had seen Atlas do numerous times, “You both need to hurry. Aralia and Tamara are strolling about.” Both Atlas and I followed her through the dark passageway in the stone. I glanced back in time to see the rock slide shut, drowning us in darkness. Atlas’s breath hit the back of my neck, making me shudder a time or two. I swatted him away when I felt his fingers at the edge of my jaw, and reminded myself that some things were best saved for later. “Quit it.” I hissed at him, which only made him chuckle in the darkness. His laugh had an edge to it, one I was currently dancing on.

Forgetting about everything else when you were with that person? On a particularly sunny day, I was waiting for Tristan, while I made fruit smoothies for us. We had decided to lay on a blanket, among the sunflowers, and have chilled smoothies, with a large umbrella shielding us from the ferocity of the sun. Then his call came in. “Athena.” He called, and his voice sounded so weak, and distraught. “What's wrong, Tristan?” I asked, immediately. “Earnshaw… Earnshaw… he's dead.”

O god how will Nithya react? Di will surely shout at me. I don't know how many days she will act like my enemy from now on after hearing the news. And Nithya?. She bade and touched me and I instantly felt dizziness coursed through my veins and before she left the house, I was out like a light. “Finally, I have you. Do you think you can run away from me forever? And by the way, your bulging stomach is giving me chills, I can't wait to have omegas running around the pack.” Atlas said and smiled sinisterly, I was scared and I noticed the familiar ropes of tears flowing freely from my orbs while being dragged by my rejected mate.
