The Hockey Star Regret

The Hockey Star Regret

he replied, rounding to the driver’s side, “You still got in the car.” We drove to a small bookstore café he’d mentioned before, the kind of place tucked away on a quiet street, with glowing windows and shelves stacked so high you needed ladders to reach the top. The smell hit me as soon as we stepped inside, old paper, coffee, and something warm, like cinnamon. Hayden shook off the cold and looked around. “Alright, Coleen. You’re in your element now. Show me the magic of… uh…” He squinted at a display. “Whatever this is. Fantasy? Romance? Giant doorstops with dragons on the cover?”

The Alpha King's Breeder

The Alpha King's Breeder

She winces a bit but hikes the bag over her shoulder. She says goodnight, but my mind is reeling over what she said before. Atticus died young… But he couldn’t have. I saw him. He was there, in the caves, and his resemblance to Petra was uncanny. I let my mind rake over everything that happened while I eat from a plate piled high with meat and potatoes, all while a pudgy, kind-faced inn keeper watches me take each bite, nodding her approval at my appetite. I don’t taste the food. The tea the innkeeper sets in front of me, stirring in copious amounts of sugar and thick cream, tastes like stale water to me.

These books have been my lifeline. I am crushed to reach this point and have to leave this beautifully tragic world and all its perfectly flawed characters. I can't wait for the next update, and honestly hope (though I know it is in vain) we get to follow this family tree for even more generations.

Love love love all the stories in this book. Be aware you will become invested. I feel like have shared these character’s journey. Than you Bella, so glad I found you here and can continue to read this epic novel.

THE BODYGUARD WHO TAMED THE TRILLIONAIRE CEO

THE BODYGUARD WHO TAMED THE TRILLIONAIRE CEO

From the soft music playing over the speakers to the end of the cafe was a shelf full of books, Café Sugar was a colourful place with the booths matching the red flooring and the designs of red and white blotches on the walls. A waitress came up to take our orders and her jaw dropped. “No freaking way! Caden Booker?!” She squealed. “Oh my God, it's my first time meeting you…” I interrupted her with a sigh. “I'd prefer it if you take our orders and not fondle over my fiance.” Her cheeks heated and she nodded softly. “I'm sorry about that, Mr. Asher.” While taking a sip of water, I shot a glare at Mark to order after I ordered a cup of cappuccino and strawberry-flavoured chocolate for Caden.

Beyond the Divorce

Beyond the Divorce

he said, placing a freshly brewed cup before me. I calmed down and sipped the tea, finding its flavor refreshing and delightful. I chuckled, saying, “I don’t know much about tea. Is it Darjeeling tea?” Atticus smiled. "You claim not to know much about tea, but you could identify it as Darjeeling tea? They just harvested the tea leaves today.” "It's perfect! Mr. Atticus, you have exquisite taste." I took another sip, savoring the sweetness. "When I want some peace to think, I come here," Atticus said, leaning comfortably into his chair. His eyes were deep as he looked at me.

It was a good book. A lot of the mixup/changes in names/locations was very annoying. Wish we would have gotten a little more out of the ending of one of the main villains. Chapters also needed to be longer; a lot of money spent on this book for 5-6 pages per chapter.

I loved this book. I liked all the characters and their interactions. Loved Atlas & Chloe together. Parts of the book are very suspenseful and made it hard to put down. Liked that she was a mom and a business owner. She was strong and intelligent. Hated that the book was over. Highly recommend.

Charlotte's Search

Charlotte's Search

Outside, Mitch gestures down the street. "There's a little place down the road I sometimes stop for coffee." Without giving her a chance to refuse, I take the bag of books from her. "Let me carry that for you." The 'little place', a small cafe, is mainly occupied by student types. They sit in groups, wearing bohemian clothes and cheap gothic jewellery, arguing loudly. It's not quarrelling, but debate of the kind you get from the types that think they know the secrets of the universe, or they can put the world to rights by talking about it.

THE BAD NERD BOY

THE BAD NERD BOY

Maybe. I glanced at the front of the cafe Jess pointed at. 'Poirot's' was written on a glass window. I peered inside and saw a couple of wooden tables and chairs with padded seats. The bar was put on the side of the room instead of on the back like Starbucks. Behind the cash register, there was a short guy with a mustache; he wore a hat similar to the one used by Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie's books. I wasn't a fan of Agatha Christie since I loved Sir Arthur's Sherlock Holmes more, but even I couldn't resist reading one of her books: And There Were None. The short guy was giving a customer his change, and I looked further down the cafe interior to study its decor, but when I slid my gaz

I’m loving the bad nerd boy so far. I was wondering if you have already wrote How to be a bad boy? I was wanting to put it in my library. I also wanted to know if you have any of your other books that are listed on taming the wild ceo on other reading apps or just on GoodNovel?

Awesome story! It was written really well but did get a little confusing at times, timeline wise. Is the special chapter that ended with Nat approaching Ellie the end altogether or will there be more? Any chance for a follow up on everyone and all? Good job again author! 😊

Sociopath in Love

Sociopath in Love

— I would stay to live here. The muted yellowish light emanating from numerous pendant lamps and floor lamps near the benches facing the shelves, both on the first and second floors, created a special atmosphere in the store. “As you can see, this is primarily a bookstore, but with a small cafe and a limited assortment of art supplies,” Yuna shook her head towards the corner with a glass display case and a free-standing double-door cabinet. — There is the bare minimum: some paints, pencils, crayons and brushes. The paper, by the way, sucks, but I will soon take up this business as soon as profit allows.

ZAIA. “I love this place,” Atticus says as he sits back as the waitress walks away after taking our orders. We are in a dimly lit, stunning restaurant that serves a variety of cuisines; the booths are covered with lush green velvet and the woodwork is all a deep mahogany. Chandeliers hang above each table and we both head to the back into one of the semi-permanent booths which are covered from three sides. I nod, glancing around before I lean back against the lush seats. “We do come here often,” I say, adjusting the strap to my dark blue dress.

Ruin me, Stepbrother

Ruin me, Stepbrother

The main street was lined with brick buildings and local shops, American flags hanging from lampposts, a town square with a gazebo. Miles parked in front of a bookstore café called "Between the Lines," and I looked at him questioningly. "Best coffee in the state, and don't argue with me," he said. "I wasn't even planning to," I replied, smiling. "And they have a fireplace. I thought we could warm up, caffeinate, and then maybe browse the bookstore if you're interested?" "That sounds perfect."
