Audio Books At Library Novels & Stories

I set it face-down on the kitchen counter and tell myself I am not panicking. I find the library. It is a real one, with floor to ceiling shelves on three walls, a rolling ladder on a brass rail, two leather chairs angled toward each other near a window. The books are organized by subject. Law. Economics. History. A full shelf of philosophy. A smaller section at the end — fiction, which surprises me, though I cannot say why. I pull out one of the novels and read the first page standing up. I put it back. I cannot concentrate. My mind is too busy.

While I took my phone and opened N*****x, I searched for the Bridgerton series and added it to my list. He came back after ten minutes with the first two books, Daphne and Anthony’s story. My steps quicken, and I begin to explore the books on the shelves. There are lots of books- ranging from history books, to mind building books, fantasy, and other about the principles of being an Alpha. Other shelves have folktales, and even romance novels.
